Timed Crits w/ Gun

1 ~ What are Timed Criticals?~

Contrary to what some people believe, Timed Criticals are not bugs, or glitches. It is technique we have.

2 ~ Performing timed criticals ~

Timed criticals are performed by clicking the fire button right after your last damage amount has disapeared (or "miss') As you'll notice, the time which this disapears can vary greatly, but with enough practice you can do it frequently.

Another thing to note is that the exact time of the timing varies with the gun. The first "blunderbuss"-like design seems to work ~right~ after the damage disapears.

But others, like the lvl 40 Classic Gun, seem to like a couple split seconds after the text disapears in order to execute. So far there is not a huge difference from what I've noticed, just get ready to adjust if you switch gun typse.

3 ~Advantages and Disadvantages~

First and foremost, this is ~not~, I repeat, NOT something you should be performing all the time. With the amount of time it takes to get a timed crit, you can shoot 2 shots because of the delay involved. Also, this is not normal "crit" damage, it is only 1.2X

Of course this doesn't mean that it's useless, when facing against enemies that you tend to miss a lot, this can be very useful as it will not miss when timed correctly. Another advantage would be killing things in two shots, when it normally takes 3. If a monster barely survives your gunshot and you're forced to shoot another, try adding a timed crit in there to kill it faster and more effectively.

A thing to look forward to is a skill that Inventors (The lion's second job) can learn - a powerup that boosts the critical damage up to 2.4xish when mastered. Which means it would DEFINATELY be worth using this technique every chance you get.

I hope this knowledge makes your Lion funner, as it definately made mine more interesting.
