"How to" Instructions! Disclaimer: The characters you see in the Scamming Demostrations are professional actors and no wallets have been hurt. When posting evidence, please note the following:
1) Only Photobucket hosted screenshots are accepted. I don't want to see Imageshacks, Imagevenues, Mediafiles, Rapidshares, Tinypic, etc.
2) Only the
scammed should post the evidence. Don't post for your friends. Your friend does not know how to post? Your friend is shy? Your friend's IP is banned on MyTrickster? Well I'm sorry.
3) From this point on, I no longer accept evidence for Gacha scams. It's not that it's hard to prove, it's very easy to be manipulated.
4) If the person admits that s/he scammed you/others, that is enough evidence to put him/her on this list.
5) If the scammer returns whatever item, that does *not* earn them a ticket off the list.
How to Locate Your Trickster Online Screenshots How to Use Photobucket Non-Gacha MyShop Scams - You are the Buyer Spoiler!
1) Screenshot the deal that is to be made.
2) Take screenshots of the money/item transaction.
You need one screenshot where I can see the name of the person you are dealing with
and another screenshot where you actually performed the transaction.
More or less I need to see "Trade completed" or "_________ items purchased by _".
Note how in the Timestamps, the times are not that far apart.
3) Screenshot any chat made between you and the dealer.
The chat should include the dealer going into MyShop, Friending you, and other related things.
Note that in this case, the dealer didn't ask for the buyer to Friend her at all.
It could be that they friended on a prior occasion but the Screenshot wasn't taken of that.
4) After the person says something to confirm that he or she has sent the goods, go into your MyShop Gift Receive History.
If you do NOT see the product being sent to you, then you take a screenshot of that and get out of MyShop.
5) Confront the person, let dealer know that you haven't received the goods.
If the dealer responds by deleting you from Friends, logging off, or just plain running away, screenshot that.
Extra notes: If you show me your Gift History, you'll have to show me some sort of confirmation
that the person is done prior to showing me the Gift History.
This includes the dealer saying that it is sent, logging off, running away, or just plain admit that he or she scammed you.
Non-Gacha + Gacha MyShop Scams - You are the Seller How to Post Non-MyShop Scams
Posting scams of the non-MyShop nature is very similar to the previous processes. What I need to see is the deal being made, the transaction (or lack of), and the disappearing act or... something. Use your best judgment for this.
