Since questions keep coming up I'll post what is acceptable and not acceptable for a name change request:

Valid reasons for name changes:
1. You signed up under a random name and decided later you actually want to post.
2. You want something different and have not had your name changed within the last few months.
3. Your name has not been changed more than 3 times in total.

Invalid reasons for a name change (I've seen them all)
1. You're watching a new anime.
2. You like a new music group.
3. You play a different character now.
4. You want to keep people guessing.
5. You went emo.
6. You got picked on.

These lists are not all-inclusive; they're meant as a guide. It's impossible for us to keep up with every single name change we do, but most of us remember and it's quite easy to parse one of the old threads and check if in question.

So, if you have a valid reason, please feel free to post.
