lol, no thats an image glitch, its the same thing that you see when random mana arrows, or other magic skills flying across the screen.
on topic: I'd like to add to what other people said.
if you go hybrid, OP is an amazing skill in or out of training, I get ohko'd by it all the time (lion -_-; ). so if you pvp/gvg alot, you may not be doing as much damage as pures, but you will still be doing quite a bit, and you will survive longer with the added defense skills
