Reward the Donators

it is a good idea to implement a little system rewarding to the members who donate to the site, encouraging others to do so and to give the ones who donated a sense of satisfaction

alot of forums out there do this, by giving their members little golden stars above their name, extra little privileges such as they can lock/delete/move their OWN threads etc etc...

Hmm how about in-game rewards for raggles, like big said, it's good, clean and people in this site can pitch in for those who donated :3

The mods get paid? That's a shock but the cost of running a site/forum isn't cheap on the other hand.

Hmm.. I'm getting the impression this is going to turn out bad. I mean when Trickster released Cash Shop and people paid REAL MONEY to the company, they get rewarded with equips beyond compare, and the more people that buy, the higher the price, the higher the price the the higher the power. If you do decide to do this keep in mind, don't get brainwashed with power and money.

I doubt it'll get out of hand like with trickster...it could be fashion only with like special colors to your name and maybe a private donator's lounge or something? With err things they can do there or what not *shrugs*

Anyway the donations I imagine are for keeping the forum up and running properly and to fund the prizes for contests (like the banner ones).

Errr this is a forum, I don't really see how much power you can give to someone just for donating...I especially don't think they'd give someone mod powers just for donating...unless they're not donating but buying the site for a couple of million

Yes, donations are used to pay for hosting and upgrade hardware. We don't get paid LOL...
