The thing is that if you even mention that you're out of region or they find out you're using a proxy, there's a chance you'll get banned. :/ But there are a few people in North America that are blocked. I guess they have some things to go through before full release.

Pre open beta is over, you have to wait until March 5th. Only Canada, United States and Mexico can play I believe. Territories and islands nearby are blocked.

Nexon pays Devcat to use their software in their selected areas, if they want more locations to offer their game, they need more servers and more "rent".

I think that they're being cautious not making it global since they're not sure how much the game will make/how much people will play. If they make more money and they're not planning on making more regions, they might include more areas that don't have service.

Not really, they can just create the IP restriction filter lists, which they're doing now :/

They could just block Korea/Japan like how ntreev done with their servers :/

And what you mentioned there, most likely is localization, and seriously I don't want that, lol...

So excited about open beta. I really adore this game. I hope, even if it's a Nexon game, perhaps my chances of finding a semi-intelligent mature guild to hang out with might not be so bad.

They might include some of the things listed in the Nexon Mabinogi forum. I forgot what they are, so I can't post them, but if you want to find out just go to mabinogi.nexon.net then click on community.

Er, I do have a Fileplanet account, but the event thingy says that it'll be out for Fileplanet on March 6th. OB comes out March 5th.

Also, can anyone help me out with the forum? Whenever I try to log on my Nexon account(Dragearen), it will log me back out instantly. Can anyone help me fix it so I can log in and actually post?
