In light of TO collapsing into magnificent (not really) ruins... okay I lied.

I got bored of TO and so did a few of my friends, we went to a nice private server but found ourselves very lonely...

So I've decided to open my own private server instead, as a very generous friend of mine has offered to host it on her barely-used dedicated server.

The name is MyRagnarok as I'm very unoriginal.

The rates are:

20x Base Exp
20x Job Exp
10x Drop Rate

Currently there are close to zero custom NPCs implemented, if any at all.

To play, you will require the latest kRO and Sakray OR the latest Sakray and RagLite OR the latest Ragray, along with the server patch which can be obtained...

Included in the client patch are two files you need to take note of. MyRagnarok.exe is what will start and run the game. ClientPatcher.exe is simply a tool to patch kRO and/or Sakray in case you still need to do so.

Extract the archive to the folder in which you installed Ragnarok Online and you should be ready to go.

Registration is done by entering your desired login ID followed by _M for Male or _F for Female and your desired password. You only need to do this for the first login, every login after this should be done normally without the suffixes at the end.

NOTE: Your interface will probably be in Korean, to fix this press ALT + O in-game, click the drop-down menu and select one of the other skins.

NOTE2: Want to swear? Go into your data folder and open up the file called manner.txt. Delete everything in the file and put a bunch of gibberish on one line, save the file and exit. Re-open Ragnarok Online, you should be able to cuss to your heart's content now.

NOTE3: Any symbol produced by a single keypress or Shift + a single keypress on your keyboard may be used in character names.

NOTE4:: To delete your characters, use a@a.com as the email address.

NOTE5: /noshift is enabled by default, simply type /noshift in-game to disable it each time you login.

NOTE6: /notrade is also enabled by default, simply type /notrade in-game to disable it each time you login.

NOTE7: Use the "@main on" command each time you log on to chat with everybody else who has main chat on, this will make your stay less solitary.

This is supposed to be a fairly relaxed server while maintaining the "official" part of what makes Ragnarok Online such a great game.

Rules should not have to be explicitly stated, but do use common sense or you will be removed from the server.

@boofoofrog: Yes, download all the parts for both kRO and Sakray. WinRar or WinZip should be used to unzip them all together into the setup files you need to install. After you have installed both kRO and Sakray, just get the server files, patch with the patcher included then you're ready to get in-game. Just a warning, the download is gigantic, so it might take awhile.

If anyone doesn't like the skins already loaded with RO, you can download skins that people have made to use.

ROEmpire.com has a database of a ton of skins. You have to register, but it's well worth it, there are some spectacular skins you can download from there.

EDIT: I forgot to mention how to install skins you want. There should be a folder labeled skins somewhere within the RO folder, either in the main folder or in the data folder. You should extract the skin into there. Each skin should have it's own folder with all of the related files there.
