Ghost(s) in Navy Boot Camp? O_o

Well I now know that this boot camp is known to have various ghost sightings and such... and I think I experienced a new addition to the lost of ghost sightings for this base o_o

Around one-two weeks ago, the Petty Officers told us that someone died from our Ship, USS Mason (Ship 17, we call buildings our ships). Then around that timeframe, the lights in the cafeteria turned off and on random different days o_o I'm trying to look up who died and why on Google but I guess that's classified information for now.

USS Mason is a building that houses Graduates (like me) who are being held for medical, legal, or booked school reasons (THUs). It also houses people being Seperated from the Navy for medical, legal, or announcing that they're homosexuals (SEPs). This includes those included to commit suicide and the like. The Petty Officers said it was one of us, a THUer.

Last night, I had Roving Security Watch from 12 AM to 4 AM. The Chief of the Deck kept coming into our compartment every 20-40 minutes asking if everything is all quiet. No one ever visits that often in the day or night and they never ask if everything is all quiet. At the time I thought he heard or saw a ghost or something. I didn't think of the THU who died roughly two weeks ago until now....

What's even creepier is the toilet that flushed with no one using it... or maybe I was too slow to check if someone actually went in the bathroom.... o.o I did saw a dark blurred shadow in the room before the toilet flush thing, but I assume my eyes are playing tricks.

When my platoon was out in the field in our tents, we were told to beware of the "Hooch Monster", which just the Drill Instructors outside wrecking your tent.

Oh I've been believing in ghosts since I was a little kid and done all sorts of research and blarg over the years. Paranormal Investigator was one of the jobs I looked into, and I still don't know where their income comes from >.>;

Today someone hung themselves at Ship 6. I understand that having to be sent to Ship 6 blows and can boost or severly deteriorate your morale, but jeeze....

The sudden shock of military life doesn't sit too well with some folks. A lot of recruits in boot camp will go to drastic measures to get the hell out.

While I was in, two guys in a rehabilitative platoon agreed to uh ... this is a PG-rated forum, but let's just say they put on a display in the shower room and got processed out real quick.

Anyway Segamew, I'd worry more about the NCOs (petty officers) in charge, they're way scarier than ghosts.

Listen to your mother then. I got called back to my hometown for a court case (I wasn't involved in any real way, I had to be a character witness for my brother's trial) and I stayed at the local air force base. I'm a Marine, and when I showed up there and learned they handed me keys to a HOUSE at only 32 bucks a night, that just blew my mind. This included two bedrooms with MAID SERVICE. I talked to a couple other air force dudes there and they considered where I was staying as BELOW PAR. Back at my Marine barracks I had to make sure that not a speck of dust was in my room every Thursday and these guys get Maid Service?
