Hmm, what if lakis i give me a lot of exp. I can't kill them in mobs so I gain one by one when I ony have one skil which actually damages them on a reasonable scale. On the other hand bugbears mob a lot and when I storm+ wind or Wind+wind or water+wind them, i pretty much kill them. (the 2nd hit is usually a overkill if the first/second hit was water) The thing is, bugbears gives me a lot of exp, but not as much as laki. Lakis don't mob so I can't mob them well and when they do, I usually end up dieing. Bugbears don't give the godly exp that lakis give but I can mob them. Which one is better for Kevin?

I just found out it would take me 326 Powershots to go from level 105 to 106

Consider Powershot's 1.5 second cooldown=

7800dmgx1.25= 9750 exp [per powershot] x 326 shots= 3 178 500 exp x 2.5 [Party Multiplier]=7946250 exp

7,946,250
7,946,100 <-- Exp needed

so:

I Get 9750 exp per powershot.
It takes a total of 326 powershots to each 100%. [With 2.5x for every shot]

Now, how long it takes:

Powershot has a cooldown of 1.5 sec

326x1.5sec= 326+163= 489 Seconds/60= apox: 8 mins.



So, by these calculations

The BARE MINIMUM time to go from level 105 to level 106 is a stunning 8 mins.
..... makes you think, doesn't it?


Follow this guide. It will save you hours, and hours of training.

I don't think the sarcasm was necessary. People can make their own choice on whether or not to follow this. You fail to calculate in the time it takes to run between monsters, the time for repot, and wasted experience from overkills.

Does TM really catch up that easily at high levels? Right now, I am planning on going to dig because my TM is only level 90 and I am level 120. I want to have Galvest Typhoon as soon as it comes out seeing as I'm almost pure AoE. I cannot train efficiently on high level monsters but I do believe that Bugbears are higher level than me?

Lol..8 Minutes I WANT TO LEVEL THAT FAST. Better yet, I WANT TO LEVEL MY TM THAT FAST.

ok so lemme get this straight. sorry if this has been mentioned already.
as long as the monster is a higher lvl than me, how many lvls higher it is doesnt matter right? im at lvl107[buff] wondering if i shud move back to swamp6 [arachnes] or stay at bugbears where im currently training. i can 1-2hko arachnes and jokers but, bugbears are another matter and jokers can hit hard with crits.

My Point:
wud it matter if i stayed at swamp6? since arachnes are still 16 lvls above me, or wud it be better to go to bugbears and hit on jokers which are 33 lvls above me? [i think] or even bugbears, 43 lvls above me.. i just need to know the exp costs on this, and it wud really save me some pot money and time lvling.

please. needs anyone's opinion. gotta hit 120 b4 school start=/

What could help though, is a "Mental Preperation" section. You know, how not to bore yourself to tears while leveling, how to stay focused, etc. etc.

The part where you said it takes 2.5x longer to train solo is smart LOL.. I never thought about how long it would take training solo cus it takes TOO LONG.

Staying focused is just a matter of distraction. For me, trying to get the looters killed or talking on vent keeps my mind off the endless grind. Some people prefer music. Sometimes I watch anime while grinding. Key is - keep your mind off the EXP bar somehow. Cover it up, distract yourself, whatever.

Alternatively, train in a place that requires constant attention to avoid death. Back when I was grinding my cat at 150 (long before second job and myshop), the music room could prove fatal if you weren't paying attention but was great EXP as long as you controlled it and didn't let it control you. The sheer struggle of staying alive was sufficient.
