| @iCrit; and all you other Vanilla Visa users, as stated in the guide, only certain Vanilla cards work, so beware. And if you would be so kind as to provide me with the ones that do in fact work, I'd really appreciate it.
For me the $25 one worked. | | (Offline)

| Your next guide should be:
How to buy said card without getting caught by mother.
Lmao, I don't think I can go up to my mom and just ask her,
"Mom, let's go to Randalls so I can buy myself a 20 dollar credit card. Kthx."
She'll most likely respond,
"NO U R 2 YOUNG 2 HAVE CARD, U NO RESPONSIBUL WITH MONIES GTFO" Or something along those lines.
But I'll try it anyways the next time she decides to go grocery shopping. ;D | | (Offline)

But, it's not like you can recharge these cards. You could always fudge the truth a bit. Say it's LMO's birthday, and you want to buy her a giftcard. Just don't let her know that LMO is actually imaginary friend that happens to be you at the same time.
@Apathy
Due to rollback, the whole "why do you still have the AMEX card" thing got erased so I'll repost.
You said you opened it? Well, they wouldn't have just taken it back even if you hadn't of opened it. Just tell them that you want to pay the 25 from the card and the activation fee with your own money. Unless you have used all the funds on the card already. If so, disregard. | | (Offline)

| =/ Don't really understand that.. A bit tired.. Anywho, it seems they have changed the way you recharge points.. or the layout at least. As of now, the links are broken on the website...I don't know if you're still able to recharge in game..But as soon as they work again, I'll update the guide.
@Senpai; lols, Explain it isn't a real credit card and your real information isn't on there. It's just a temporary card that allows you to buy things online. o.0. Or just fall back behind her in the line when shopping..or "Go to the bathroom, and meet her at the car"

| Explanation for the card:
"It's not a credit card. It's one of those gift cards that you can use anywhere. My friend gave it to me as a gift."
Now you can use it right in front of the parents. Of course, it'll start getting suspicious if you're constantly coming home with 20 dollar gift cards from your friends.
If you don't have friends:
"I found it on the ground."
or
"It's a gift for this person I like."
or
"This must be my lucky day. I found 20 $25 gift cards on the ground! Want me to pick the lotto numbers for you?" | | (Offline)

Me: /grabs gift card that actually WORKS, *Moves to checkout line, preferably empty*
Cashier: Hello, how may I help you?
Me: I'd like to do a split payment for this card please. I want to take $25 off of this card and pay the rest in cash.
Cashier: Ok, hold on a second. Ok, your card please. *Give card, scan card*
Cashier: Ok you said you only wanted to take off $25 from it.
Me: Yes.
Cashier: Ok, then the remaining balance is $X.xx (Activation fee)
Me: Ok, here you go. *Hands cashier the cash*
Cashier: Ok, it's all done. Please sign the receipt. (What you have to sign whenever you purchase something with a credit card in real life) *Signs receipt*
Cashier: Alright, thank you and have a nice day. *Hands bag to me*
Me: Thank you. *Leaves store, angry at the initial purchase of said AMEX card*
Hopefully, that explains the process, though it might be minus the nice. Just tell the cashier you want to do a split payment beforehand and everything will move like water. eh? | | (Offline)

Well I did a bit of research and found that Westpac bank has "Westpac Mastercard Gift Cards":
» It's a prepaid giftcard so it's a one time use
» They can be purchased from any Westpac bank in Australia
» There is a purchase fee of AUD$4.95 regardless of the amount you choose to load onto it
» There is a currency conversion fee of of 1% of the total transaction value (which is like practically nothing)
» There is no other additional fee for transactions
» The amount that can be loaded onto the card ranges from AUD$15-800
» You can use cash, cash advancement or payment from a Westpac account
» You don't have to have a Westpac account or anything to buy one :: Westpac Mastercard Gift Card site :: || More information is also available here :: Westpac Bank locator ::
I think that should cover all the essential information~ :: Note ::
I have not actually tried this myself but it sounds like it would work though it would be great if somebody could confirm this (I'd confirm it myself but I'm currently broke right now >.<). | | (Offline)

| Oook, I haven't look all through this but how is this not illeaglel? (Oh god my spelling sucks, please ignore that, just sound it out xP) I mean, ofcourse its just us purchacing cards right? But what about the age limet, is there one?( I understand that other people have asked this but I would like a straitforward answer to directly me O-O) Also, my parents are very, VERY (can I emphasize that enough) against the idea of spending money on a computer game. If they find out, I'm dead. I am a computer junky, and I love being one. I meet new people etc. But thats why mom 'n' dad hate it, "How would you feel/What would you do if your teenage friend was a 60 year old perverted man?" see? I know bad things happen on the internet but they overreact. Its not as though I'm telling strangers my adress. I absolutely LOVE the idea of having MyShop when I am obviously too young to get a credit card (I'm 12 but gunna be 13 tomorrow), but would it be worth my risk?
Thanks in advance, Cricketxm.

| Nah, it's no illegal. there's no age limit, for whatever reason. And I understand your situation, my parent's are the same way.. I'm old enough to support myself, yet I have to "watch out for old perverts" <<. Overprotective for the fail.
anyway, It's really up to to you. unless your parents sit behind you the whole time you play games on the computer, there really is no risk. It only takes like 5 minutes to set up a credit card and recharge points. | | (Offline)

Works with paypal at least, haven't actually tried charging it yet.

| Ok thanks. But strangly I put my pin/whatever it is called in and all of the shops are like... halfway across town~! I could never in my whole life get mom to drop me off at the mall or wherever without a grown-up whit me. She is, as you say "Over-protective for the fail" and I totally agree with you. My dad is even worse, this is "his" computer because he paid for it... O-O Ok, so its his -.- but he almost never uses it and it stays in my room? It's not like I wake up at midnight turn it on and play to my hearts content. They NEARLY sit behind me, just ourside the room where I can't see them but they can see me... Creepy I know but I've gotten used to it. I just turn the laptop away XP. Once dad sneezed and he tried to make it sound like he was downstairs by muffling himself. Yes, we are a freaky computer crazed family. My mom and dad may hate that but I don't.
Oh, and offtopic is this: MY B-DAY IS TODAY *Cheers for herself* 1 full day fo computer. Maybe both (we have 2 and I can double acc XP). Mom is thinking she might buy me $50 worth of points in the next week. Cheer for me please, I reeeally want it ^-^ But then... who doesn't?
EDIT~! I'll be on Pearl today, almost all day today. My IGN is AriAnn, I've sworn that I won't change characters today. If I double ACC I'll be on PhoenixTear (Or PheonixTear.. I forgot -.-)
and Marrien(Or Marrein... yet again, I forgot...) Won't stay on the forums much longer.
Thanks in advance,
Cricketxm
