As most guides are now outdated in the Revolution Patches (describe quests that no longer exist, places to level that are now impractical due to increased level mobs, etc.)
This is meant to be a comprehensive, general guide to people very new to trickster, or those looking for questing summaries in the new (Revolution Patch).
Thanks to the Wiki for all it's information and the pictures!
The last time I have updated this guide is...

5. Vending your Items 1. Choosing a Character
Welcome to Trickster! I'm sure you're excited after downloading the program,
and itching to get started. The first question that most people should ask in
MMORPG's, is what character should I be? Trickster is no exception, and it's
worth it to note that the character you pick is the character you must stay
with - there's no changing across types in Trickster.
So let's start with the basics:
There are 4 types of character, and each type has two animals (classes):
Power types are your melee damagers, and these classes have good
melee attack skills. Worth noting is that a Trickster Power Class has excellent
debuffs, and often doubles as a good tank, depending on your build.
There are two Power type animals:

The
Buffalo is your male power type, they specialize in AoE (Area of Effect) melee damage, but can also deal loads of 1v1 damage through their skill Berserk.
The
Bunny is your female power type; they are more focused towards 1v1 combat and have lots of combo skills.
Magic types are your spell casters; only these classes in Trickster deal magic
damage. Magic classes are also extremely good PvPers, due to a number of skills they get at high levels.

The
Dragon is your male magic type (though they do look like girls),
they specialize Light/Dark magic. The Dark Dragon is one of the biggest powerhouses in PvP.
The
Sheep is your female magic type; they are more focused towards elements and can be very versatile depending on which elements you pick.
Sense types are your craftsmen, and can be very good damage dealers; Sense classes are very versatile types, and virtually the only types that will be any good at drilling.

The
Lion is your male sense type; he is a gunner and a ranged damage dealer, and also one of the best pvpers.
The
Fox is the female sense type; they excel in digging, and have excellent damage in the early levels. At higher levels they will learn landmine skills and become great item compounders.
Charm types are your tanks, and at higher levels, they can transform into different creatures. There's no stopping a charm type that has transformed, given the proper builds.

The
Raccoon is the male charm type, and they are excellent at dealing damage, once they level up enough. The Raccoon can transform into a werewolf at higher levels, gaining amazing amounts of Evade.
The
Cat is the female charm type, and they have terrific attack skills as well; the Cat can transform into... a cat... at higher levels, gaining large amounts of attack power.
Sounds overwhelming, huh?
If you're new to the game, I would recommend a power type (as they are easy to level) or a fox (my first character, they excel in digging, an important thing to do for a lot of quests). Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't pick the other classes, it just may be easier with those choices.
1. Choosing a Build, and Putting Stats
There are 12 stats in trickster, and they're grouped according to the character types above:
Power Type stats AP (Attack Power), is the stat that determines melee attack strength
AC (Accuracy) determines melee attack accuracy and gun attack power.
DX (Dexterity) determines melee attack rate/speed.
(thanks Kuyabob for the AC/DX corrections)
Magic Type Stats MP (Magic Points) is the user's mana pool, which gives skill and spell.
MA (Magic Attack) determines the damage of magic-type skills
MD
MD (Magic Defense) determines the defense against magic-type skills
Sense Type Stats WT (Weight) determines the amount of items a player can carry
DA (Detect Ability) gives the % that a player will successfully detect an item when drilling (:bulb: and :inf:). It also increases the damage of your criticals. (thanks Petro)
LK (Luck) increases critical rates, and determines gun and spell accuracy.
Charm Type Stats HP (Hit Points) gives a player more health
DP (Defense Points) gives a player resistance to physical attacks
HV (Evade) gives a player likelihood to evade melee attacks, and increases gun defense.
It's also worth noting that many skills increase in damage off of different stats. So a character with no attack isn't necessarily screwed, because you can use a skill (which uses a non-AP stat to calculate damage) to deal damage.
So you've chosen your build, how do we put stats? Each character in
Trickster has what we call a build, and this is comprised of 4 numbers.
The 4 numbers add up to 10 and they represent the amount of each attribute a character will have.
Moreover, each character has their type (power, charm, etc.) locked in at 4.
We customarily list the builds as four numbers, like
1441, 4141, 1432, etc.
Each digit represents a type, power/magic/sense/charm, respectively, and when you level up, Trickster will automatically put that many stat points into the three stats of that type.
So a Buffalo that has a 4114 build will get 4 stat points into all 3 Power (and all three Charm) stats, and 1 point into the Magic and Sense stats.
Moreover, every character will get 4 stat points on level up, that you can distribute into whichever stat(or stats) you want.
For every 4 stat points that an attribute receives, it levels up!
A sample build (which is in my signature): 1144 Fox, Pure DA
means that my character gets one point in AP, AC, DX, MP, MA, MD and 4 points into WT, DA, LK, HP, DP, HV. Moreover, each level I put 4 points into DA.
So each time my character levels up, WT/LK/HP/DP/HV will level up once, and DA will level up twice. The other stats will level once for every 4 levels I gain.
3. Useful Commands (Caps Sensitive) : /Register # [message] macros a message so you can say that message by pressing (Ctrl + #)
/Depth tells you the digging depth of a field.
4. Quests
So you've arrived in Caballa Island!
Let's get started!
I will first list the amount of items you need TOTAL for each area, then list the quests for you to do (with the NPCs) afterwards.
The first thing you need to do is get off the ship. But before you talk to Cap'n Stan

I'd go to the bottom-left of the screen and find Mr. Monkey T

and pick up Thiefmon's Bad Check, you can sell it for some money (100 galders, not much at all.)
Then do the tutorial:
Quick run-through
Talk through NPC 1 on the left (just keep clicking, your mouse will be on the correct answer), collect rookie equips...
Talk through NPC 2, buy a tangerine from NPC 5 (on the right) collect rookie equips...
It's not a bad idea to buy extra tangerines, either... they restore 20 hp and are "free"... Do note you shouldn't buy TOO many, as they do take up WT (the % under your mp bar), and too many (> 90%) will make you run slower.
This is the direct quote from ZombieKiller:
|
you should 'buy' as many Tangerines as you can hold. They're free and they cure 20hp
|
Talk through NPC 3, equip rookie equipment (hit 'I' for inventory, go to the equip tab and double click everything there) then learn your n00b skill (hit 'C' for cards, go to the skill tab and double click) and put it in your hotbar (hit 'S', drag the skill icon to your hotbar). Kill the enemy that appears, and pick up his drop (a mini-carrot)... Talk to the NPC 3 again, then warp out.
Then you'll be in
a. Level 1-15 Coral Beach Items to dig (0) Items to pick up from monsters...
1 x Entry Application (Torobbie, lvl 1)
---------------------
1 x Pen (Bad Fury, lvl 4)
---------------------
5 x 10 Galder Coupon (Tottochi, lvl 5)
1 x Luxury Socks (Tottochi, lvl 5)
---------------------
5 x 50 Galder Coupon (Little Cora, lvl 8)
1 x Cool Ice (Blue Penguin, lvl 11)
1 x Cool Spring Water (Blue Penguin, lvl 11)

Pictures: Torrobie/Bad Fury/Tottochi/Little Cora/Blue Penguin
You can do this two ways... The slow way is to talk to Esther

(the NPC right next to you when you enter)
after doing each quest and following her instructions. I prefer just to collect
all the items, then do them in one go... So I'd collect the items above (just kill the monsters listed in order of level till you get all the stuff), then
go to Esther... You can click through the stuff, and you'll get lots of quests (and exp) all at the same time

enguin:
Coral Beach is linear, so you shouldn't need help on which way to go - just
follow your minimap and look for the blue arrows telling you where the next
map is.
You'll probably grind to level 7-8 (Penguins may be hard, its okay if you die,
you'll warp back to town and you can turn in the quests you got so far), and
get 2-3 more levels from the quests.
At any rate, when you've collected all the items, go back to town, talk
to Esther and turn all of them in. You should have finished 5 quests, 3 with
Esther, 1 with Bunny Maid, and 1 with Dorothy.
I'm assuming that you've now hit
lvl 10-11!
(PS I'd suggest selling your wings in the shop, they're heavy, don't do much
and give you a tidy 1.5k each. also, equip the items you get)
At this point, depending on which build you're following, if you haven't yet,
and your guide says to, consider going to the Coral Beach Skill Shrine, and
purchasing a skill for your class. Make sure your level meets the requirement!
To learn a skill, just hit 'C', go to the skill tab, and double click the skill.
Getting to 15
NOTE:music: : I wouldn't recommend partying at this point, as most people won't be
killing that fast and your experience will be diluted, even with the exp. bonus.
I find I level much faster by myself.
Items to dig (0) Items to pick up from monsters...
9 x Duck Mole Paws (Real Golden Mole, lvl 20)
1. First, talk to lifeguard Been

on the right side of Coral Beach Town. He's next to the water slide. He'll give you Bean's Present.
2. Go to Coral Beach 3, and find Tinnie

in the upper-left hand corner... she'll give you experience as a reward for finishing this EZ quest!
Now we have to grind (kill monsters for EXP). I'd go to Coral Beach 4, and
talk to NPC Hunter Yuri

next to the cave Entrance... She'll give you a quest to hunt Bustshells...
It's not too hard, and they're right there. Do the quest, 3-4 times till you hit level 12-14 ish, then head into the cave.
Here you'll be hunting the moles for their Duck Mole Paws, you need 9 to give to the NPC Lifeguard Dean

in Coral Beach 3. Also, pick up any Aprons that may drop from Addax...
After turning in Lifeguard Dean's quest (Duck Mole Paws x 3, you can do it 3 times), you should be level 15 by now, tune in for the next chapter of this guide!
But first:
Why would we return to Coral Beach?
Coral Beach only has a couple things worth returning for:
1. Clione Cards (rare drop from Clione, lvl 15) are used in several 1st job masteries... You'll need 2.
2. Digging - Rusty Chains (level 30 AC comp) drop in Coral Beach Maps - you might need these if you plan to compound Pharoah equipment BUT be forwarned, you'll need a lot (13 per slot[!])
My image space is limited per post, so I'll put the remainder of the guide in the next few messages...
