Hehe, that sentence goes both ways, cuz you do crazy damage as well as die fast, both of which is considered destructive XD
By the way! does anyone else see part 2 of my guide completely underlined? because I sure didn't do that.

I am suspecting its the "soandso challenges you to a game" link that's doing it, maybe missing a [ /U] at the end or something?
Everything under that post is underlined to the bottom of the page for me...

Plagarism sucks:

Hey, I was just wondering...

You have to get Mana Ring Lv10 for Phobos Fire and Earthly Rock, correct?
Mana Web is for Water Tube, and Mana Storm is for Galvest Typhoon. But is there a spell prerequisite for Stun Spark?

So basically, does this mean that mastering MA and using it to level is not advisable because you need another attack spell at lvl 10 to get you your second element? (Assuming that Lightning has no prerequisite)

And could you recommend a good Element combo, i.e. what you're using , or are they all pretty good, just depends what you want.

And, you forgot to add on Mana Web onto Water Tube's requirements.

is it possible to just get lvl 1 magic arrow and don't get magic ring/typhoon, then change job to get the better elemental skills? just a thought

yes, that is a build, unfortunately, unless you pick water/lightning, you'll have to get MR or MT at some point as a prerequisite for fire/earth/wind.
On the other hand, if you do pick water/lightning, and only want level 1 MA, you will run out of non-attack first class skills to assign TM points to, so you'll end up getting things like ray of light and dark mist, which makes you the support build instead =x

Hey minty,

I've been meaning to ask you about something in your guide because its really important, atleast to me. Sorry if i messed up somewhere in my math but for arrow rush are the numbers right (for the x Power per arrow and acutally for the per arrow calculator on the bottom too). Because when i use that formula (Matk-49)*power, and assume a lvl 70 char i get (85-49)*300=10800 damage per arrow. My numbers assume that:
Stats taken from Hk47's calculator http://hk47.portablesofdoom.org/?page_id=11

1) all bonus points go to matk
2) Not taking into consideration the use of mist of mana (so this should be a conservative calculation).

Thats alot of damage per arrow because i assume out of 7 atleast 3 has to hit. Doesnt seem reasonable when compared to the damage reinforced mr would do at same level plus lvl 70 doin 30k damage wit one spell sounds crazy.

Another way i calculated was take the damage a normal arrow would do and multiple it by lvl m multiplier of 13.49 which is even higher.

Sorry if i am missing a decimal place somewhere or just spacing out and completing messing up the calculation. I've been waiting up all night for trickster to open and at the same time drooling over the damage shower of arrows would do if the numbers on your guide are correct haha so im a bit slow rite now. This was mainly why i was confused why no other guide valued shower of arrows as by far the most uber duper super spell of all mage classes.

edit: hmm acutally now that i look at it more closer the x13.49power for lvl M is the power that should be put in the (matk-49)* "POWER" formula huh??? WOW i really do need sleep....

yeah, you got it at the end, your magic arrows no longer do whatever they used to do, I only added the numbers for mastered arrows.

support

How well do sheep support? Or is the support class reserved for another character. What exactly is the difference between sheep and dragons. Is it only the 2ndary skills? If so, what part of their skills are different.

Magic characters do most of their supporting by using debuffs on enemies, kinda like a red mage from final fantasy XI. Rumor has it that light dragons support best, mostly because sheep second job skills are mostly attack spells. adv. sheeps and dragons have a different set of abilities, as do all other second jobs. Sheeps support mainly using mist of mana, elude, spider web, and recovery.

A pure-support character is not suggested because of the sheer lack of support-type spells available to the magic class.

ic... then in the end you have to get Manna Arrow maxed no matter what to get other skills? Or did I read that incorrectly.

mana arrow isn't needed for anything, you get level 1 so you can fight somewhat at the beginning until you actually get the skills you want...read the prereqs and stuff

ah icic also on
-heal efficiency (hp% per mp spent) drops dramatically at level 10, do the math
That means the lvl 10 heal is lower in efficiency. Not MA correct?

Also with the bonus points, maybe its just because i'm sleepy and confused but it seems like you are saying there is more advantages to putting skill into luck aka sense than matk because of the fact that skills boost matk more than they do luck... or am I crazy
if you went 1432 would this same thing apply?

MA does drop in efficiency at level 10, the only reason why anyone would get level 10 is so they can get arrow rush.

As for bonus points, its really your disgression, some people would rather have 12.5% more damage to spells than +0.0625% chance to hit to spells per level.

The calculations let you see the true difference and decide down to the root what happens when you sacrifice a skill for another.

mana arrow, mana ring and mana storm are the three basic attack skills to center a build on. You -can- center a support build around blind, but I really don't suggest FULL support builds in this game...there's only one magic class so they are both the wizards and the priests.
