List of rules by Minty. Please follow them.

New and improved list then... In lieu of recent guide snatching and plagiarism from and to our forums, a set of procedure has been proposed to prevent plagiarism on our forums.

Actions will only be taken when someone sends a report stating plagiarism, and an investigation performed with the below steps

1. Review thread in question and suggested source of information.

2. Compare similarities and differences, ignoring things like name changes and formatting

3. Determine if personal intellectual property has been stolen, factual information owned by Ntreev does not count, an example of "factual information":

The stats themselves, but not the suggestions of a stat build
The skills themselves, but not the suggestions of a skill build
The monsters, but not straight guides on how to amass exp, or to defeat bosses.
The items, but not how to use them in conjunction to each other.

4. Determine the difference in post date <- this is very important, you probably know why

5. If the above two are both go, the thread will be edited to display something close to:"This thread is now under judgement for plagiarism, an earlier version of information has been found at www.blahblah.cow, please show proof that this is your own work, show proof that they had copied you instead, or add a credit line at the top of your post. This thread faces deletion at "

6. A reply to suggest they take action will be left, thus bringing the thread to the top so they can see it.
>By not taking action, you fully accept any and all legal actions that may be taken upon you, we are required to delete any and all acts of plagiarism within 2 business days of detection.

7. Old posts with less than 300 views, 10 replies, or replies within the last number of days equal to 25% of the days since July 10 are considered dead and will not receive disciplinary action.

You will be presented proof of our judgement, you are assumed innocent until proven guilty.

If found guilty simply adding this line: "The below text was posted by found at " Do not make the website a link.

Please be aware that guides on gamefaqs.com, when they are displayed, are under the full protection of the US copyright laws and they belong to their rightful owners, if you are caught plagiarizing them, you are seriously liable for lawsuit with court dates and money being exchanged.
