Aabons
I hear that Skwie levels here, apparently Landmine can OHKO some Aabons. While you wait for it to cooldown, I guess you'd let loose some Stone Strikes and Shuriken Throw if you have it.

Both me and Skwie train there. More 20x foxes are coming to tech4 now to train while some of them dont even have Gun Booster. The aabons have pretty High Hv so I dont recommend training there if u dont have it. if ur pure luk u can one hit both the Aabons and demukanuses (lol anus) with detonator at about 200. The Anuses are pretty easy to kill. You rarely miss if u have GB. Try to get as much Acc as u can without having to sacrifice DA as a luk fox. I still cant 2 hit either one of the monsters unless one of my attacks is a crit. Thats why im trying to get a Crystal shield. Also if u can, get a Stallion or something cuz tech4 is quite a big map and monsters are well divided on the map.

Yeah, that guide is great :-) I'm still a trickster newbie, so I can't tell how it works out, just doing the 1144 pure DA, and taking the skill list as a guideline so I know what to get, although I'm not currently following the details of when to get which skill or where to level. And I'm ignoring gear recommendations entirely; haven't even started looking into the compounding stuff...

About the SM build...
Will you still be using SS? Since you aren't getting GB, won't your accuracy suck? Also, you'll have to carry a lot of throwing items with you, so you won't be able to carry as many pots. Is SS + SM better than SS + GB? I made my fox really so I could drill to my heart's content, so I'll be investing many points in Basic Detection and maybe Dowsing. I need to get to at least level 50 though, so that I can at least use gao's / musume. Anyone have advice as to what build to use?

I have a fulltime SM's fox and I personally don't use SS at all after I got SM, because since I didn't get booster my SS misses like crazy x_x SM accuracy from the start is very high so you won't miss often making GB not as important as it would be for a SS fox. Actually the throwing items and pots aren't too big of a problem, but then again you could always get heavy carrier if it becomes one. I think that the SS + GB + SM combo would be best because GB would get rid of the accuracy problem for SS and SM would generally finish off the monster unless SS OHKO's the monster. And I would suggest the 1144 build for your drilling fox because later on most good drilling areas have aggros that hit pretty hard so you want to be able to take a hit.

I have been looking around, and I want to fit the detection skills in somewhere. I read that Aura of Luck (or Lucky Day) was kinda useless, because it is mostly great for compounding, and only raising attack power for the skills (like detonator) that aren't main skills (SS). I am at Lvl 40 (TM Lvl 43, with 1 point that hasn't been used yet), and I'm in need of cash and good equips. Does anyone have a tip of when (or if) I can get the detection skills? I am following the cookie cutter build, 1144 pure DA. Grateful for quick answer.

Maybe never? Even with the detection skills, you won't get 100% accuracy. The little circles don't cover all the ground, so in between the circles etc. still has stuff that will never be detected. D< If you're pure DA, by 90 DA your lightbulbs and squiggly lines will ALWAYS appear.

Aura of Luck rocks. It helps Landmine (SS won't OHKO forever, that's when this skill comes in handy). In Third job, you have two more skills that rely on LK and DA. I recommend mastering L7 before AoL though. LK also helps your block rate etc.

If you must get the detection skills, kick off AoL till later and get them after L7.

Thanks, I have been thinking about it all day (,and even ended up calling a friend). It doesn't seem like Basic Detection is that profitable as I thought it would. Well, you learn something every day. Thanks for the answer - I'm not getting BD! :)
