Introduction (1A)
Hello! (= My name is Elias...and my Lions name is Lyes. Even though I have only played this game for about...3 weeks...I was instantly hooked. Over the 3 weeks I've been playing, I leveled a lion to 8x(almost 9x) with the help of Laggy's amazing wonder-tastic guide. However, since his guide is slightly outdated, and not as "in-depth", I have decided to do my own (I also always wanted to do my own). Since it probably can never match up to Laggy's...don't expect miracles from me. =P So, without further ado...let the guide begin!

The Lion Class : The good and the bad. (1B)
The Lion Class: All that good stuff.
So, you want to become a lion, huh? The biggest thing that draws people to lions is they get to hold guns (Indiana Jones anyone?)! Actually, its probably their speed, range, damage, and...item-friendliness (is that a word?). Ah, lets discuss the speed. So, you are probably thinking..."How the hell are lions fast?". Let me explain. Theres a little something called "Power Shot" that you get second job (I know, all great lion things come late). This is an uber-powerful attack, and guess what guys? It has a 1.5 second cooldown time! Thats nice, real nice. That means you can dish out a heavy attack, and not have to wait that long before handing out more ass-whooping. A lions speed also makes them envied only because they can snipe and train faster. Yes, you do actually train faster then some classes, I am living proof (or I just have no life...heh.). Second, range! This is obvious enough...you can snipe! Isn't that fun? Well, actually its mostly hitting and running...but some bosses are fun to snipe. Range can also save you a little pots because you don't get hit as often. This is nice, because you don't get a shield to protect you. Third, lions are...item-friendly?! Huh? O_o. Well, to make it sweet and short, lions are better at drilling, they are better at holding the items they find, and they come with a "4" in Luck. The drilling pays off when you are looking for quest items, the weight pays off when you want to hold the items, and finally the luck helps you when you are compounding items. Lastly, lions have an amazing output of damage. I have had many people think I'm a higher level than I actually am just because of the damage I can do. Its really nice, especially on bosses that are gun-weak (*Laughs menacingly at Captain Skull*) This, along with speed, helps you train much faster and take down bosses quicker. So, there you go. All the reasons WHY you should become a lion. Then again, theres always just bragging rights. Thats good enough for me.

The Lion Class : Theres a downside?!
Yes, unfortunately, lions are not perfect. The main downside is that lions are a royal pain in the ass to train when you start out as a beginner. Lets repeat that for dramatic effect: Training. Is. Hell. Well, for the first 40 or so levels it is...then its a joke. But this can be really discouraging as a beginner -- especially if you are unfunded and don't have extra help. The patience you will need is more than worth it in the end, though. Second, lions lack a great deal of durability. Why? simple: they don't get shields. I mean...its not THAT big of a deal right? Like, bosses only do a LITTLE more damage...right? And I mean, you might have a 4 in charm so...it makes up for some defense...right? Really though, for the sake of your life, please don't approach a mean monster and not expect them to smash you up. Its going to hurt, and it always will. So, there you go. All the reasons why to become a lion, yet again! Wait, I mean...why you should totally observe these points and make a wise and informed decision...yeah.

For all you lazy people who don't want to read my essay, heres a nice list:
The good:
  • Lions have excellent damage
  • Lions can hold, and find lots of items
  • Lions have ranged attacks
  • Lions are sexy. ...

The bad:
  • Training a lion hurts before level 40, really bad.
  • Lions take harder hits, and they hurt...really bad.
  • You are highly envied. (Wait, is that a bad thing?)

Whaaaaaaat? The pros out-weigh the cons? I think that says something...become a lion!

Before Creating Your Lion (1C)

So, I see you have decided to become a lion (or, you read for fun). Yay! Yes, join our legion of dark assailants. I mean, good for you, you will really
enjoy yourself.

There are some things you should know before creating the shiny new lion with your name attached to it. First off, there are things called "builds".
What are "builds" you ask? Well, its the stats that you choose before creating the character. Here is a complete and detailed list of all the main
stats (Thank you so much Laggy for creating this first! It was a good idea <3) :

(Power)
AP (Attack Power) - Great for power types, not so great for lions. AP is NOT what makes you deal more damage with guns, AC is.
AC (Accuracy) - No, this does not increase your chance of hitting the enemy. It increases your attack. The main (and usually only) skill to put points into.
DX (Attacking Speed - AKA "Dex") - Nope, this doesn't increase your attack either. It increases the speed of attacking. However, lions use guns that have a set reload time so this skill doesn't do diddly.

(Magic)
MP (Mana Points) - Not an issue. You aren't some dragon that is going to spam MP heavy attacks all the time. No, you will always have enough.
MA (Magic Attack) - Huh? Why would any lion need magical attacks? O_o
MD (Magic Defence) - This doesn't really protect you at all agaisnt most monsters. Again, you don't need it.

(Sense)
WT (Weight) - You can carry more things! Really, its cool. Something you should be putting points into? Hardly.
DA (Detect Ability) - Makes you find more things in the ground. Useful, not something you need to put points into. Oh, and it adds attack to a skill called Stone Strike. Umm...you dont use this skill for very long, so...yeah.
LK (Luck) - Now THIS is what makes you miss less. Increases a gunners accuracy. Also gives you better "luck" when compounding. It really does! It's also the second most important skill.

(Charm)
HP (Hit Points) - How do you not know what HP is? You need this, and its the main reason most people put another "4" into charm when making thier lion.
DP (Defence Points) - It means you take less damage. This saves pots, and even your life in some cases.
HV (Hit Evasion) - You can...evade things! Woot. Yeah, monsters miss you more.

Now that you know all about the wonderful world of skills, heres what a standard "build" looks like:

Ex. "Build Number One" : 1144

What are all these numbers?! Ok, before I start the descriptions of the builds, I will tell you what these magical numbers mean.

For example purposes only, we will let "x" = the number. So replace "x" with your build number:

x <-- The first number on the list. Stands for the "Power" type.
x <-- The second number on the list. Stands for the "Magic" type.
x <-- The third number on the list. Stands for the "Sense" type.
x <-- The fourth number on the list. Stands for the "Charm" type.

So, for the "1144 Build" it would be...(1 Power), (1 Magic), (4 Sense), (4 Charm).

So, when you create your character, you need to put a 1 into power, a 1 into magic, a 4 into sense, and a 4 into charm. Got it? Good. Now, on to the descriptions!

Build Number One : 1144 :

Ah! This is my build! Well worth the wait in the end, but very hard to deal with early-game. How so? Well, since you have a "1" in power, it makes the growth rate for the "AC" skill suck really bad (why cant AC be in the sense section? =[) However, since ALL your points should be going into AC it doesn't make a BIG deal. Also, since AP and DX are stupid and pointless, you wont be wasting any growth points making these level. But why would you put a one into power if you want all the AC? Ah, this is because all the other points went into something I call...the charm skill section. "A four?! Whaaaat? Why?" you ask, well putting a 4 into charm makes use of 3 very useful skills : HP, DP, HV. Since you use ALL of this skills, AND since lions lack defense due to lack of shields, this is good - very good. More HP, more defense, and monsters miss more often. Unless you are some professional lion that can afford many pots and snipe really well, this build is for you! An excellent and
simple beginners build.

Summary of this build: -- Highly Recommended--
  • Hard early game
  • More durability
  • Beginner-friendly

Build Number Two : 2143 :

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this build. As a matter of fact, its better power-wise. However, keeping all the things from the first build in mind,
it lacks some "charm". You will get hurt more often, and even die more. But, theres more AC involved and that means more damage...and that means leveling
faster if you can 1HKO instead of 2 or 3HKO. With that in mind, it makes the low levels a bit easier when you have a gun. With twice the AC, its twice the damage.
But, if you are patient, the 1144 build pays off just as well.

Summary of this build: --Recommended for the more experienced--
  • Easier early game
  • Less durability

Build Number Three : 4141 :

Woah! Woah, woah, WOAH! A 4 in AC? Wow, thats going to hurt monsters with all the AC you've got going on there. Then again, you have next to nothing in terms of HP, DV, HV. That means ANYTHING that hits you is gonna hurt worse than getting smacked in the face with a frying pan. Ouch. Early-game sucks too. Everything hits you...and you die...its frustrating. Take it from someone who had this build in beta (many thanks to the twit that told me to put a 4 in power just to have "godly" AC). Bosses are out of the question...obviously (unless you have help). Only for the people who have lots of money, many friends to help them, and guts. Good luck with this build if you are a beginner. To the experienced, you know what you are doing, so why are you reading this?

Summary of this build: --Highly Unrecommended--
  • Lots of damage output
  • Lots of damage received
  • Lots of fun (or not).

With all that in mind, I suggest going 1144. Its fun, and the most common build nowadays.

Leveling Your Lion (1D)

Many, many, many, many, many, many (ok i stfu now kthnx) thanks to Laggy for helping me though the hard days of being a lion! However, there are some things I discovered while I was following his guide. I will do my utter best to include these observations in my updated version.

Levels 1 - 10 (L1)

Yay! You have started your lion. Lets guide you through what may be the easiest 10 levels you are ever going to get (don't get used to easy levels at this point, it only gets harder). First off, you start on tutorial island. No, I do NOT need to walk you through that, they do it for you...the whole way...all in 100% pure Engrish the whole time, might I add. Get to at least level 4 by drilling when looking for the papers (its a quest). Now, here we go...the actual training. There are 2 sections that are combined. Train on whatever enemies you find in the island you land on (you land randomly on either Paradise or Blooming Cora after leaving beginners island). My suggestions for this short span of leveling time (you should already be level 4 anyway) is that you always play in ruby (more people) and look for royal parties. Of course, finish as many quests as you can as they will help you tremendously with the levels that get closer to 10. Oh, and make new friends! It's always good to have companions and people to chat to. Not only that, friends of different classes come in useful later on when you want to make royal parties. Most of all, have fun! Welcome to Trickster Online.

Monster Section

Torobbi: Remember these cute things on beginners island? Guess what, you need to slaughter more via sword power.
Bad Fury: These guys...train on these a when your closer to level 10. Sometimes they can be nasty.

TIP: Keep their card if you find it! It will serve a good purpose when you do the "card girl's" quest. This quest gives you much-needed TM experience!

Totochi: Same as Torobbi...good exp, not too hard to kill.
Fanta Slime: Woo, these are cute! And weak. Kill them. Kill them all.
Sea Scorpion: Not so cute! Also weak. Kill them? Yes.

TIP: Keep their card if you find it! It will serve a good purpose when you do the "card girl's" quest. This quest gives you much-needed TM experience!

Hula Octopus: Definitely not cute. They are also mean. Don't take these on unless you are close to level 10.

Quest Section (QST1)

Cycle 4: 5x 500 Galder Coupon, or 2x Portable Port Deluxe, or 1x Knee Pad
Cycle 5: 1x Health Amulet

Notes: Sea Anemone Juice is dropped by Popeyed Anemone.
Don't bother doing this quest now unless you have someone to collect the Anemone juice for you. Theres no way in hell you can kill these right now. However, if you do get a hold of 50 juices, you have a chance to get 4 Portable ports...did I mention these sell for about 100k a pop in the market? Not something to ignore, especially when you need money.

Hunter Master - Blooming Cora Monster Guild
NPC: Hunter Master
Location: Blooming Cora Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: Each 5 Times
Condition: Level 1+
Request: Bluffy Bad Puri (9) in 5 minutes
Rewards: Novice Wooden Sword, or Novice Helmet, or Novice Shield, or Disabled Person's Pocket

Umm...this one is a little hard...not really recommended until a higher level...but the disabled persons pocket is a nice reward for early-game.

Hunter Yuri - Blooming Cora Monster Guild (Level 1-4, Bad Fury)
NPC: Hunter Yuri
Location: Blooming Cora Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: 25 Times
Condition: Level 1 - 4
Request: 5 Bad Fury (4) in 10 minutes

Not a bad quest...it also gives you an excuse to find that Bad Fury card that is needed for the Card Girl quest.

Love Hunter Robin - Blooming Cora Monster Guild (Level 1 - 10, Totochi)
NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Blooming Cora Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 1 - 10
Request: 10 Tottochi (5) in 10 minutes

NPC: Card Girl
Location: Coral Beach Town - Blooming Cora
Condition: Level 1+
EXP: 103
TM EXP: 720
Request: 1x Bad Fury Card
Reward: 1x Arcana Card 1

Riddle: 'I am white and small. I am also evil and innocent.'
This riddle doesn't make much sense to me. Evil AND innocent? Huh? Eh, its the Engrish. But, if you are lucky enough to have this
card, the TM exp is really good at a low level.

Card Girl - Desert Beach Card Girl (Riddle 1)

NPC: Card Girl
Location: Gate of Desert Beach
Condition: Level 1+
Normal Experience: 103
TM Experience: 720
Request: 1x Sea Scorpion Card
Reward: 1x Arcana Card 2

Riddle: 'Red claws are dancing on top of hot sand.'
Ok...they don't really dance...but what the heck...its good EXP. Take it and shut up.

Equipment Section (EQP1)

Wood Helmet: Available through the quests mentioned above. Isn't it so stylish?
Wooden Sword: Available through the quests mentioned above. It doesn't look very sharp...
Disabled Person's Pocket:Available through the quests mentioned above. What does this even have to do with disabled people?
Wooden Buckler:Available through the quests mentioned above. No, I have nothing witty to say about this. Except that it looks utterly repulsive.

Skills Section (SKL1)

Stone Strike:
Yes, it is as bad as it sounds. I suggest getting this to level 10 (BUT DONT YOU DARE MASTER IT). Why? Only because you will need it at level 10 for a much-needed skill much later on called Lucky 7. If you need it at level 10 to use the skill, you might as well make the best of it now. However, because you are probably going to get a gun around level 25-30, level 5 stone strike may be better to conserve TM points. Please make sure you look at all your options for skills and count the TM points before making a hasty decision. Also, see the "Skills Guide" section for more info on this skill.

Summary Section (SUM1)

So, there you go. What to do levels 1 - 10. I did not include all the quests, because some are just not worth it. Also, 1 - 10 doesn't take you that long anyway. Many people suggest just grinding these levels...and that works too. Its not a big deal. Make sure to check out the quests that give you items you need.

Game Checklist:
  • Finish Tutorial Island
  • Make new friends
  • Learn Stone Strike (and get it to level 5 or 10)
  • Get all of your level 10 equipment
  • Get to level 10

Levels 10 - 20 (L2)

Alright so theres not much of a difference here. The monsters you need to kill are pretty much the same (aside from the Little Cora's you should be killing), and you should be doing all the monster quests in sight. Make sure you finish all the robin quests you see...you need those TM levels to get Gun Carrier and Invincible reload. Make sure you check out all the Coral maps for royal parties. The map with the volleyball nets on it is an especially nice one for that.

Monster Section

Little Cora:These guys aren't too hard to kill. It's pretty much the only different monster you will kill besides the ones from level 1 - 10.
TIP: Keep their card if you find it! The card will let you into the first boss you will fight (Master Mong). Although you cannot kill it now, it's good to have a hold of many for easy access.
Clione: Only attempt to kill these when you are closer to level 20. You need to kill them for Robin's quest, and they are also on a map with lots of parties. Another enemy to kill frequently.

Quest Section (QST2)

Hunter Yuri - Blooming Cora Monster Guild (Level 9 - 12, Little Cora's)
NPC: Hunter Yuri
Location: Blooming Cora Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: 25 Times
Condition: Level 9 - 12
Request: 15 Little Cora in 20 minutes
Reward: 7x 100 Galder Coupon
EXP: 1,200
Make sure you do this quest before level 12. Coras are easy to kill, and it should be taken advantage of.

NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Blooming Cora Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 11 - 20

Request: 15 Clione in 10 minutes
Reward: 3x 100 Galder Coupon
EXP: 1,900

The Robin Quest! Make sure you do this for much needed TM experience.

Equipment Section (EQP2)

Bamboo Sword: Get this only if you can find it...its found by drilling the Ghost Blue maps. Not really needed. It's nice if you happen to find it.
Or
Gun Type 1:I really don't recommenced getting this until you have Invincible Reload (See the Skills Guide). It's a pain to kill things, and you lose a shield. Not to mention you need to buy bullets...thats going to cost some money. If you do decide to go gunner at level 15, then you can buy this in your local store.

Skills Section (SKL2)

Gun Carrier: Technically, this is available to you at level 15...however I do not suggest you get this just yet. You should be using a sword until you have enough TM levels for Invincible Reload. This also saves you a shield, and you don't need to buy bullets. If you are itchin' to shoot some stuff up, you can go ahead with it. Recommended for people who are funded.

Summary Section (SUM2)

So...not much to say here. It was an easy 10 levels huh? Make sure you complete all the quests I mentioned, and you should do fine. Remember to always party. Keep working hard, more is to come.

Game Checklist:
  • Increase your TM level
  • Get to level 20

Levels 20 - 30 (L3)

Its time to leave the beginner sections (Cora and Paradise) and move along to bigger and better places. There is a few quests that you will probably want to take care of as soon as you hit 20. Sea Anemones will be a good place to train until you get a gun. When you do get a gun (it will be in this section, yay!) you can press on to the second Ghost Blue field past the anemones. It is also suggested that you head down to the "Southeast Forest" via Megaopolis. Don't worry, I'll help you get there. There, there is a hunter Robin quest that needs you to kill an enemy called "Popos". Make sure you are ready for them, they aren't that easy to kill. The Robin quest will help you get closer to that much needed TM level 25. After getting to TM level 25, pay a well-earned visit to your skill master (Genius Cochma) in either Megaopolis, or Paradise. Make sure you pick up gun carrier (if you haven't already) and Invincible Reload. Hooray! The shooting begins. So, after getting a gun, like I said the second Ghost map is good for Armored Squirts. Try not to get too close to the Torpedo Fish...they aren't too safe until you reach closer to level 30. When you think you can take on the Torpedoes, though, make sure to kill them. Also, if you can afford a "Ghost Pirate Card" (around 50k) or, if you can get someone to help you get one, then you can do the first card girl quest. That gives you 496,150 TM experience! Also, the same thing applies if you can get a hold of a Forest Mantis card (around 30k). This gives you 251,950 TM experience! Very very useful if you want TM level 25 fast. So, thats pretty much it; the monsters you will be killing will be listed as always in the monster section. Good luck!

Monster Section

Popeyed Anemone: These are nice targets when you don't have your gun yet. Be careful though, a mob of these can easily kill you. Robin has a quest involving them.
TIP: Keep all the Eye drops that you find! You will need these later on for adding much-needed AC to your future equipment.
Popo:You need to kill these for the Robin quest. To get to the Southeast Forest where they are found you need to head to Megaopolis Square and make your way down to the very bottom right of the map. Go through the portal, and you should be in a map with Queen Yamus and Popo.
Armor Squirt: These are nice things to kill when you first get your gun with Invincible Reload. Show no mercy!
Torpedo Fish: Pure evil in mechanical fish form. Don't attempt these until you are close to level 30.

Quest Section (QST3)

Card Girl - Megalopolis Card Girl - Riddle 1
NPC: Card Girl
Location: Southeast Forest
Condition: Level 20+
Request: 1x Forest Mantis Card
Reward: 2x Arcana Card 2
EXP: 30,653
TM EXP: 251,950

Riddle: 'The 2 legs can become a weapon and foundation of martial arts.'

Another Card Girl quest. If you can buy the card (or get some help getting it) then do this as soon as you get to level 20 for the best experience.

Card Girl - Ghost Blue Card Girl - Riddle 1

NPC: Card Girl
Location: Gate of Ghost Blue
Condition: Level 20+
Normal EXP: 56,234
TM EXP: 496,150
Request: 1x Pirate Ghost Card
Reward: 2x Arcana Card 1

Riddle: 'Remember desperado of the sea, your soul is still burning.'
Another Card Girl Quest. Like the other one, do this ASAP. Again, only if you have help getting the card.

Love Hunter Robin - Aquarius Monster Guild
NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Aquarius Monster Guild
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 1-30
Request: 30 Cora Pyupyu in 20 mins
Reward: 1x 500 Galder Coupon
TM EXP: 26,000
A really good quest with a decent amount of TM exp. You should be killing Cora's anyway, right?

NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Southwest Forest
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 10 - 30
Request: 30 Popo in 20 minutes
Reward: 2x 100 Galder Coupon
TM EXP: 12,000

Another Robin quest! Can't get enough of those Robin quests...suddenly I feel a random urge to eat sugar crisp.

Equipment Section (EQP3)

Gun Type 2: You should definitely have this after getting Invincible Reload and Gun carrier. If you can't get a hold of the Type 2 version (dropped by forest wasp) then type one sells in the store. The reload time for Type 1 is slightly slower...but you can't tell the difference.
Impact Vest: Trust me, you're going to need the DP boost. Things hurt when you have no shield. This item is store-bought.
Lucky Amulet: The extra luck helps out a bit when you aquire a gun. Remember, luck increases the guns accuracy, and helps it do more criticals.
Power Amulet: This is nice! 4 AC, thats another extra 80 damage! This is bought at the Azteca gate.
Baby Rabbit: Yay! A pet! This one gives you a nice 2 AC and 4 AP bonus, too. Don't worry about the -2 DX, because...we don't even use DX! Yay!

Skills Section (SKL3)

Gun Carrier: You should definitely be getting this before level 30. As soon as you have TM level 25 for Invincible Reload, learn this skill. Yeah! Finally, you can do what you were born to do...shoot things.
Invincible Reload: Now this is what you have waited a boring 25 TM levels for. Learn this along with Gun carrier. When loading a bullet, enemies cannot interrupt that process.

Summary Section (SUM3)

Well, that was fun. Right? The training might have taken a little longer, but it was worth it in the end. Now you can carry (and properly load, might I add.) a gun! All those AC points you have been training...they are going to go to good use. Don't expect a huge damage increase...because your AC isn't really that high yet. Keep working hard, gun booster is next.

Game Checklist:
  • Learn Gun Carrier
  • Learn Invincible Reload
  • Get to level 30
  • Aquire all of your equipment
  • Buy a Baby Rabbit pet

Levels 30 - 40 (L4)

Hey, you are level 30 now! So, in between these 10 levels, we are going to be getting the famous Gun Booster! Yes! I know, it's exciting. But...before you can get Gun booster...you need to be TM level 30...yes, it sucks. I personally had a tough time getting these 5 TM levels. But, if you have decent enough equips you should do fine. Right now I really suggest doing Hunter Robin's "Forest Wasp" quest found in the Southwest Forest area. Its not too tough to do, it just takes a bit of time. Finish all 5 of his runs, and you will be that much closer to TM level 30. Also, there is another Robin quest just outside the phantom school that gives you AMAZING TM experience. However, he needs you to kill Ghost Books which ARE gun-weak...but its a tough tough challenge without Gun Booster. I really suggest getting booster first. Oh, and you might be able to kill your first boss in this level range! Yay, your first Boss Seal! As always, I'll show you all the quests you need to do for nice item rewards as well as the monsters you should be killing. Sit back, relax, it's going to be a fun 10 levels.

Monster Section

Siremaid: They almost seem too beautiful to kill...eh, shoot them down. They are gun-weak, so its not too hard to kill them. Watch out when they mob you with their mermaid sisters and pirate friends...it can kill you very easily.
TIP: Keep all the "Mermaid Hairpins" that you find! You will need them for an important quest that lets you into a special dungeon later on in the game.
Ghost Pirate: These seem quite...evil. Well, they are. Robin wants you to kill these for a nice TM quest. Try not to take them on right at level 30, though. It can be tough and pot-heavy.
Sea Tiger: Found at the path to Oops Wharf, these are a nice target because they are gun-weak. Get used to the map they are on...because you will be partying here levels 40-50.
Ghost Book: You need to kill these for the Robin Phantom School quest...like I said, its hard to kill them at this level, so be careful.

Boss Monster!

Master Mong: Oooh, so shiny. Almost make you want to...shoot him down Lara Croft TOMB RAIDER STYLE. Ok, maybe not like that...but he's a pretty cool boss to kill. Remember when I asked you to keep that Little Cora card? Well, now you need it to get into his lair. Head over to "Coral Field 6 - Lawn Beach" and talk to the lifeguard NPC near the top right of the map. Watch out for Master Mong, and good luck getting the seal!

Quest Section (QST4)

Toilette Mara - Searching for Tissues
NPC: Toilette Mara
Location: Phantom School - 1F Toilet
EXP: 50,000
TM EXP: None
Request: 4x Red Tissue, 1x Blue Book
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 30+

Cycle 1: 1-2x Toilette Mara Card
Cycle 2: Silver Earrings or Toilette Mara Card or 10-12x 500 Galder Coupon
Cycle 3: Silver Earrings or Duo Doctor or Toilette Mara Card or 12 500 Galder Coupon
Cycle 4: Silver Earrings or Duo Doctor or Toilette Mara Card or 10 500 Galder Coupon
Cycle 5: 2x Silver Earrings or Duo Doctor or 10x 500 Galder Coupon
Its kind of hard to get the Duo Docter...however, if you do get it...then scream for joy! This is going to be the main defense belt that you will be using for a long time. It needs to be compounded with "Turtle Shells" for maximum defense. Also, the tissues and blue books can be hard to find. Since you need to do this quest 5 times...that means you need 20 Red Tissue, and 5 Blue Books. If you are going to drill for them, stick to the Silent Hallway (the first map) and drill near the doors (the left side). Drilling near the doors to the side of this map has proved very useful as you find MUCH more items underground in that area. Also, if you make your way up to the Annex (the map with the Keepers and Leader Toys, be really careful) you might find a lion or two looking for metronomes. They most likely also have found tons of Red Tissues and Blue Books (I did, for sure) so ask them to buy them. Most will just give them to you for free (be nice!).

Shaman Jia - Trying to Save Phantom School
NPC: Shaman Jia
Location: Phantom School - 1F Silent Hallway
EXP: 40,000
TM EXP: None
Request: 3x Dead Tree Quill Pen, 3x Dead Tree Pen
Quest Cycles: 3 Times Condition: Level 30 +
Cycle 1: Body Charm or Mind Charm or Mind Body Charm or Shaman Jia Card
Cycle 2: Body Charm or Mind Charm or Mind Body Charm or Shaman Jia Card
Cycle 3: Body Charm or Mind Charm or Mind Body Charm
Well, the items for this quest are NOT easy to get at your level. However, since you only need 3 of each every time you do it, its probably easy to loot them in the bathroom (I know, thats so degrading). Also, people sometimes give or sell them to you...just because they love sexy lions. Or...just because they are nice. Either way, its not a really hard quest to complete. Also, the Mind Body charm is nice if you want to kill a boss later on and cant afford expensive HP accessories. The 420 HP it gives you is pretty nice. You can also add DP to this with Turtle Shells.

Love Hunter Robin - Gate of Phantom School
NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Gate of Phantom School
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 31 - 50
Request: 20 Ghost Books in 20 minutes
Reward: 500 Galder Coupon x3
TM EXP: 190,000
Wooo look at that TM EXP! 190k?! Still, this quest is hard without Gun Booster. It is best to do this after obtaining Gun Booster.

Love Hunter Robin - Southwest Forest
NPC: Love Hunter Robin
Location: Southwest Forest
Quest Cycles: 5 Times
Condition: Level 31-40
Request: 30 Forest Wasp in 20 mins
Reward: 3x 100 Galder Coupon
TM EXP: 23,000
Not nearly as sexy as the phantom school Robin quest, but you can do this one as soon as you hit 30. It takes time to kill the wasps, but you slowly climb up to TM level 30. This is the quest I did to get Gun Booster. I was way too weak for Ghost Books.

Equipment Section (EQP4)

Basic Cap: This ugly thing is dropped by Forest Wasp. You probably found a ton of these, so theres no need to buy one from someone.

Skills Section (SKL4)

Gun Booster: Yes! Now you can really begin to deal some damage. When mastered, this skill gives you an extra 20 AC! Thats an extra 400 damage! Get this as soon as you get to TM level 30. Also, before training it and mastering it, make sure you have enough MP to use the skill. Nothing is worse than training a skill and not being able to use it for another 2 or 3 levels because of lack of MP. This should not be an issue, but just double check to make sure.

Summary Section (SUM4)
Nice, you made it past 10 levels, again! Only 10 more to go and you can become an inventor! You are almost there, so keep up the good work.

Game Checklist:
  • Finish at least 2 quests mentioned above
  • Get a Basic Cap from Forest Wasps
  • Learn Gun Booster and master it
  • Get to level 40

From Engineer to Inventor (1E)
So, you have gone though around 50 levels of sweat, hard work, bullets, and monsters. Over the course of time, you have met many people, and maybe even taken on a boss or two. However, now is the time to grow up as a lion, and put the past behind you. You are now to become an...inventor! Well isn't this fun? New weapons, skills, a nice outfit. I guarantee the 50 levels and 40 TM levels you slaved for are going to pay off. However, becoming an inventor is no easy task. No, it's going to take hard work, patience, and long caffeinated nights. The task set before you is not an easy one, so I'm going to be there helping you every step of the way (psh, yeah right). Job change requires you to drill a total of 40 items. Here is a detailed section dedicated to helping you find these items, and the fair prices if you choose to buy some.

From Engineer to Inventor: Items Required
Here is a complete list of all the items you will need:
2 Natural Gas:"Pollution-free green fuel which can be used at the status of gathering it."
2 Petroleum:"Marine resources. You can get various oils by refining them."
16 Pocket Watch:"Pocket watch with a gold chain hanging. It stopped at that time when something terrible happened in the rose garden."
16 One-Eyed Glasses:"Noble monocle in a gold frame and chain."
Lets start with acquiring the Natural Gas and the Petroleum. Both of these items are found in all of the "Ghost Blue" maps, including the gate. Here is what all the maps look like, for reference:

I suggest doing heavy drilling near the entrances (marked with blue arrows) and near rocks and other debris. I found this very useful when I went looking for my items. It took me around 2 hours to find all 4, but it may take you shorter, or longer. It all depends on how lucky you are. Also, if you happen to find any "Emergency Rescue Tubes" or "Premium Liquor" (Not to be confused with "Premium Wine", also found in Ghost blue) then these sell for around 150k each in the market. The tubes are for Bunnies, and the Liquor for Racoons. If for some reason you are too lazy to find the items, or you lack a great amount of luck, then I should tell you Natural Gas as well as Petroleum both sell in the market for 100k or less. Don't buy anything over 100k, because you will only be ripping yourself, and helping the increase of prices.

Now, for the Pocket Watches and One-Eyed Glasses. Both of these items are found in all of the "Rose Garden Field" maps. Here is what the maps look like, for reference:

Now, don't just think you can waltz right in and start drilling. No, your current drill is way too weak. You are going to have to use either Blue Drills, Musume Drills, or the ever-hard-to-get Gao drills. Gao drills are sold at a NPC in the Volcano field 4. I highly suggest you get someone higher leveled to pick up the drills for you, as everything in all four maps will surely 1HKO you. Remember, these Gao drills have a short life span of 150, so make sure to pick up enough...you will be drilling in the garden for quite some time. Okay so, I suggest sticking to the first garden field. Why? Because if you press on further, the enemies only get more aggressive and it becomes even more of a pain to drill. People say the best Lion and Cat items are found in the second garden...however that is most likely a rumor. I myself kept to the first garden and wandered into the second for a change of scenery. Also, if you happen to find any "Eagle Feather Pens" here, be sure to keep a hold of them. These sell for around 200k+ each in the market. It should also be easy to sell them right in the garden, since most dragons are already there drilling for them (they need them for their second advancement). Finding these items can be a pain, so if you wish to buy them, Eye Glasses sell for around 60k each, and Watches around 80k each. Its a heavy price to pay, but if you are desperate, you will most likely pay for them.

After you are done collecting all 40 items, head over to Azteca or Megaopolis to make the advancement. After speaking to the appropriate instructor, you will be awarded with 12 million TM experience, 1 million regular experience, a useful ring called "Sign of Creation", and you will now look like an inventor! Congratulations!

Skill Card Guide (1F)
Yes, all the skills you need are set out for you through my leveling section, but here is a nice descriptive list of every skill. The list will include which ones to train and which ones to leave alone. So, here we go:

Skill Card Guide: The Engineer's Skills

Invincible Drill: Basically, you now how when you get hit by an enemy the drill stops? Well with this skill, the drill will not stop. However, I highly suggest that you do not get this skill. Why? Well, first off, you need all the TM points you can get. Second, the place you are drilling in is usually away from monsters, and if there does happen to be a monster you kill it. If you can't kill it, then you would want to be running anyway. Am I right? Yes. Don't get this skill (At least if your making a normal type gunner lion).
Unrecommended
Stone Strike: Yes...stone strike. Well, in sum, this attack has horrible accuracy, and the damage sucks too. Oh, and its based on the DA stat...something you aren't even putting points into. However, you need to use this skill for a good portion of the early game, seeing as it is the only good attack skill that isn't a gun. Many people suggest getting it just to level 5, so you save points for you're gun skills later on. However, it will have to be leveled to level 10 to get a skill called "Lucky 7" later on, so consider that as well. One thing is clear though, you do NOT master this skill. Utterly pointless to do so, and it wastes your precious TM points. Always make sure you're skill points are planned out properly. Recommended
Heavy Carrier: This skill does what it says...it lets you carry more things. Yeah, it sounds nice, but do you really need it? The answer is no. You already have a 4 locked into WA (you are a lion, duh) so this skill is hardly needed. However, if you are making a mule character (a character in which the purpose is only to hold things from your main character) this skill would be perfect. Unrecommended
Sixth Sense: No, it does not give you the ability to see dead people. On the other hand, it gives you the ability to find more things in the ground! Do you need this? Yet again, no. You are a lion! You have a 4 growth point in this! Getting more is slightly useful when finding things, but do you really need it? You need those points for the gunner skills! Unrecommended
Sticky Foot: From what I gather, this skill decreases the enemies DV (Hit evasion). So...you hit the monster more, big deal. Again, since you have a 4 locked into Luck as a lion, this is what is going to help you miss less. Also, later on, a skill called "Lucky 7" comes up, and that makes you miss less as well as do a whole bunch of other neat stuff. Do not get this skill. Unrecommended
Shuriken Master: You can use throwing stars! That would be awesome, if you were a fox. Too bad you get to use guns, huh? Unrecommended
Basic Detection This skill once again helps you find items in the ground (within a 80m depth range, might I add). This time, it is very specific. It actually tells you where to find the item you are looking for. Sounds awesome right? Well it is. But...are you really ready to use 10+ skill points on this? I would not do it, unless you know what you are doing. Also, the 80m Depth limit they added to this really sucks. Don't expect to be finding items for Tango's quest in the Tech fields. It's not gonna work. Unrecommended
Gun Carrier: This skill lets you carry a gun! You need these for you're gunner career. Man, it sucks how they make us work just to carry a gun...oh well, such is life. Recommended
Armor Destructor: So yeah, another worthless skill. Basically it damages the armor of the enemy...but heres the thing. From what I've heard, it only damages it through the AP attacks. Since your a gunner, this isn't going to do anything at all. So, unless you have some random power type that likes following you around and helping you attack things...or you are a PVP fan that wants to help kill that annoying player, this skill is not for you. Oh, did I mention sooner or later you need a level 1 in this? Yes, its for that ever-so-stupid prerequisite for Lucky 7 (a level 1 means you just double-click the skill, and thats it. Do not level this up.). Unrecommended
Gun Booster: Hey, hey! Finally we get to a skill that isn't pointless! This skill is what separates the little engineers from the big ones. This skill, when mastered, gives you a stat bonus of 20 AC. Remember, 1 AC is around 20 extra base damage, so that is an increase in...20x20...400 damage! This skill is not to be missed out on. Recommended
How to master this skill: Collect: 14 Blue Feathers.
Dropped by: Nephthys. Found in: Pyramid Dungeon 2 - Hall of Harpy
Invincible Reload: Oh yeah, this. Another necessary skill that should have already come with gun carrier (>:[). So basically, this lets you reload a bullet back into the gun even while being molested by monsters. Wasn't it really annoying when the gauge kept going down every time a monster smacked you? It pissed me off so much, and it's the main reason why you don't get a gun until getting this. Recommended
Compound Master: To be really honest with you here, I don't understand this skill. Does it improve the success rate of creating items(ie. Crystal coupon has a 55% success rate)? Or does it improve the stats of the weapon you are making (ie. Master Metal gun and adding AC)? In any case, this is not for you to get. Don't waste all the TM points needed for it on a skill thats not too clear. Unrecommended
Lucky 7 Weeeee the infamous lucky 7! So lets see...you needed to waste 5 levels of stone strike...and about 3 learning armor destructor....is it worth it? The answer is yes! When maxed, you get a nice 45% increase in luck. If you know what luck is for, you aren't going to miss out on this one. Recommended
Quick Reload: You can reload while moving! Isn't that just awesome? I mean, this is really where sniping comes in. No more attacking enemies face-to-face. No, this is a skill you definitely want to get. Recommended

Skill Card Guide: The Inventor's Skills
Butt Plate: Oh hooray! A stone strike for guns! Not. You shoot to kill...not whack continuously with a blunt weapon to kill. Sorry, this skill is not worth the TM points. Unrecommended
Power Shot: This is what you have been waiting for! It is the main skill you will be using to kill, and it gives you a massive damage increase. You need to master this as soon as possible. Recommended
How to master this skill: Collect: 18 Glossy Leather
Dropped by: Gentle Sting. Found in: Seabed Field 5 - Abyss Blue
Shooting Spree: So, have you been waiting for a mobbing skill? Well, this is the only one you are going to get. With damage comparable to Power shot, this skill shoots bullets at a mob (given there are enough enemies to shoot) with accuracy and speed. Its a very good skill for places like Swamp Field 2 where you are constantly being bombarded by enemies. When mastered, it can attack up to 5 enemies at once. Recommended
Lucky Fist: Lucky Fist is another Melee attack, like Stone Strike, so it will be hitting physical defense. The damage is based on your Luck and the HP(10% of it's life) of a monster. The higher the HP of the monster and the higher your LK, the higher the damage it will do. On bosses, it's not the overall HP that affects the damage, but a single bar of HP. Downsides to it is it's like 1.5-2 second wait for the attack to go through, and I think a 6-8 second cool down. Great for people who like to boss. -KzTxl7 Unrecommended
Keen Sense: Keen Sense only increases the damage of critical hits, but not critical hits from skills or physical damage. Basically, unless you're good at Timed criticals or just really lucky at having criticals with normal shots, not all that useful. -KzTxl7 Unrecommended
Double Shot: Simple. It shoots 2 bullets. The newest skill added, and a pretty good one at that. You won't be getting this until later, though. Recommended
