Alright. Let's look at the cookie cutter Gunner build that most people will be using.
Stone Strike Lv 5
Gun Carrier (passive)
Invincible Reload (passive)
Max Gun Booster
Quick Reload (passive)
Max Power Shot
Max Roulette Shot
Stone Strike Lv 10
Armor Destructor Lv 1
Max Lucky 7 Skills you won't be getting/why not.
Invincible Drill - This skill is completely useless, IMO (which is the only one that counts, because this is my guide). For 1 TMP, you are invulnerable from cancellation from attacking monsters. Well, if you are going to purposely drill near an aggressive monster, I strongly urge you not to join the army.
Sixth Sense - Alright, this increases your DA. Another useless skill. This will only help you with Stone Strike, and if you are going to be using stone strike, then you should not take the Lion path. By increasing this, you will make the amount of times your Lightbulb/Tumbleweed pops up while drilling. Honestly, will saving your 5 seconds of your time while drilling be worth sacrificing skills that will help you in the long run? No.
Heavy Carrier - Your WT levels by itself every level up you get. Self-explanitory, if your IQ is bigger than your shoe size. If you are overweight, stash your stuff.
Shuriken Master - Gunner build.
Sticky Foot - With your skills that increase attack, your attack will do as much damage as hitting your sticky footed opponent 2 times, when you land a blow. What good is hitting them if your damage is crap?
Basic Detection - At maxed, this will only tell you up to 110m. Useless at higher levels. Why not just drill and find out yourself?
Compound Master - Useful only if you are making a pure compounded, which you are not if you are following the build. Does not help you level. Skills you will be getting/why.
Stone Strike Lv 5 - This will help you level until you get your gun. Getting this above level 5 will result in you maxing Gun Carrier x levels later (which can be quite hellish).
Gun Carrier - Gunner build.
Invincible Reload - Allows reloading while being attacked. Slightly lowers your spamming of the left click.
Max Gun Booster - This is your only power-boosting skill until second job (which if you are reading at/near the time this was written, is not for a while).
Quick Reload - Required for the hit and run tactic. Solves the annoyance of having to stand still to reload.
Max Power Shot - Finally, your first "true" power-boosting skill. More detail to come as is released on eTO.
Max Roulette Shot - Your first (and possibly only) mob skill. More detail to come as is released on eTO.
Stone Strike Lv 10 - Pre-requisite for Armor Destructor.
Armor Destructor Lv 1 - Pre-requisite for Lucky 7.
Max Lucky 7 - Increases accuracy for gun and critical hit rate. Last words
Alright, now you know why your are getting which skills and when, so stop asking the same damn questions. Yes, Lions are weak(er) at first (especially at the time of writing this). If you see a Power or Charm making fun of how crappy your Lion is, are you going to take that? No, you ****ing stud. Your are going to land that last blow on tut and fist that Master Metal Gun right up their asses. Rock on! |
