A few questions

1) Is Sticky Foot worth getting?

2) Is it normal for a lvl 17 Lion to lvl so slow? Training at Ardor Beach ATM, any better spot that doesn't waste HP pots?

3) I'm not funding my Lion with my Buffalo and I don't have the patience to drill. Any other way of making quick money? Bullets cost way too much.

3) Well, I've tried it on my sheep, and it worked out fine. Just hunt things several levels below you, like 3-7. It's great for TM leveling, and money making, really. You don't take too many pots(Cause you're a lion, aka no actual MP usage til second job.), so you can sell the drops you get and gain slow money that. Though this does mean your exp gets owned(Regular kind of exp, not TM.), so if you don't like slow leveling, don't bother with this. It takes quite a bit of time to level like this(My mage did this from 3x to 5x, taking like 8 day's time, couple hours a day.). Otherwise drilling is a good option, though you don't want that.

Merchanting also works, though it takes a bit of time and whatnot.

Like he said, fighting Hula Octopi would work well, then you can sell their legs in Aqua where so many quests require them and make a nice sum without ripping people off

sticky foot would be worth getting later on when you plan to do some pvp, but don't bother with it until after you get your 2nd job skills.
Yes training during those levels will be a pain but here's what I did:

-got a plain ordinary wooden sword and started with low level monster quests, learned stone strike up to lvl 5 on the way

-once I finished every tm quest available that I could comeplete with ease (coral beach and paradise), started digging for quest items and finished those (only did the coral beach ones though, not familiar with the ones in paradise)

-got the type 1 gun and amo with the $ from the quests I did (was lvl 15 on the dot) and finished off the rest of the tm quests (I stoped before the clones and penguins because you can't do it in time with a sword and stone strike)

*shoot and stone, this is very helpful up to around lvl 30
