It can deal more damage then Stone Strike with some of the higher leveled throwing weapons, and it gives you something else to use during Stone Strike's cooldown. It also gives you something to kite monsters with.

I'd say it's worth getting.

Shuriken Mastery is also nice for competing with monster hogs. You know, those players who charge through like they own the place and kill everything you're trying to target...? Shuriken is very fast with good range, so you can tag monsters before most other classes can. Then follow up with Stone Strike.

Even better you get Shuriken so early, 1st job KSers will probably avoid messing with you.

Agreed on Shuriken... With the two major fox builds (gun booster vs. shuriken), I've tried both and I can say shuriken is much more effective, hits more often, deals good damage and has infinite potential for kiting (vs. gunbooster which consumes a LOT of skill points and gives you +20 AC, which is good but not enough to give you perfect AC). Mastering Shuriken also gives you a good chunk of damage, so my vote is

Master Shuriken

even though hunting down orange g's is -_-

agree with shuriken mastery... i like to use it to counter-ksers.... not only that.. i use it most of the time in my regular training because of high accuracy (like 100% hit rate) range, low cool-down time and low MP usage... only when i run out of shurikens then i use stone strike if i dowan to go back town to restock...

on the accuracy... for stone strike... my 1144 pure DA fox... at lvl 7x still misses orange/bron G... :blink

I suggest mastering both skills. There's not really a lot of skills for a Fox to obtain anyways, since half the other Sense skills are Gun Based for their First Job.

Stone Strike's accuracy is low, but the damage is insanely high. If you can get yourself decent AC equipments, the skill will show it's usefulness. Lv 10 is a prerequisite of a future skill called Lucky Seven (which also requires Lv 1 Armor Destructor). With Lucky Seven (and Aura of Luck for your Second Job), it'll help block enemy's critical hits, allows you to do more critical strikes, and give you a better result when doing a Mature Compound (adding additional stats to your equipments).

Shuriken Master is optional, but usually recommended by most. It's not a prerequisite of any useful higher level skill though. During the lower levels, the accuracy is pretty high, cooltime is low, and the MP cost is conservative. In addition, the long range will help you in survival if you plan to switch to hit-and-run mode.

Both skills are based on DA for it's damage, and AC for it's accuracy. If you want to do more damage, then place all Bonus Points on DA. If you ever need more accuracy, I suggest getting equipments rather than adding points to AC.
