Lion that can drill and kick ba-donka-donk

Well, I just made a lion 3142 and I made it simple because I wanted to experience the guns and I want to be able to dig good... so pretty much my question is, what skills should I be getting?

I'm thinking I might have made a mistake because it seems that everyone who wants good drilling goes with foxes............ yea....

The only reason foxes are considered the best at drilling is because most of their attack use DA for power, which is also the stat that determines lightbulb/squiggle rate when you dig. Lions are fine at digging, especially once you get 90 DA, when you will never waste drill life again.

Both Sense classes can drill just fine.

Foxes are simply more known for it because their DA builds can reach 90 DA faster than anyone else. They add DA for attack skills, which means they also get Sixth Sense, and their equips mainly focus on DA. Because of those 3 factors contributing to the same goal, they reach 90 DA at a very early level.....without sacrificing skill points or compounding " extra " drilling gear.

Sixth Sense and DA gear are standard for many foxes. While most lions generally only rely on DA gear for drilling. That means many foxes have a " headstart " in reaching 90 DA before most lions.

So both foxes and lions can be excellent drillers.....foxes are just faster at showing the results at early levels.

There are DA lion builds out there (with guns or knives), but most lions go with guns and AC. You can drill just as fine and as early as a fox if you add DA, get sixth sense, and get DA gear... but I would recommend against using guns for a DA lion. (4141 DA gunner is a very equipment-dependent build. 1144 DA is just like the old, standard DA fox.)
