Myshop question

I just came back after quitting during closed beta and for some reason I have 6000 point in myshop. I was wondering what i should buy to make my life as a 1144 lion easier. Any other tips would be helpful too, you see, I only got to level 21 before I stopped playing.

I'm usually picky when it comes to buying stuff from MyShop. There are some nice things in there useable for Lions in the form of hats, guns and pets. The problem with those equipment is that they get outdated rather easily, not to mention that there are alternative items that can be obtained in-game.

Right now the highest lvl set for Sense Type is the Scholar Tsun Set. The stats of the set is kinda mediocre. Take the Bamboo Hat for example, the stats for that hat can easily be matched with a Dream Hat 100. As for the gun, a good Mst. Military or even a Mst. Titan will do. The pet however is another story. Since there is a lack of good pets in-game, your best bet is to buy one although its a bit more expensive.

I don't really recommend that you invest on MyShop at the lower levels. It's pretty easy to blaze through them just by doing quests or plain grinding.

Are you doing the attendance event? If you are, then you will get an extra 5k points which should stack with your current 6k. It should be enough to buy even the most expensive pet at the moment.

As for equipment here are some suggestions that you can use:

lvl 20 -> Ult Wood Gun
lvl 35 -> Pharaoh Hat ( Get this if you can, its pretty good for its level )
lvl 50 -> Ult Steel Helmet/Ult Anique Gun
lvl 65 -> Ult Basic Cap/Ult Metal Gun
lvl 90 -> Choco Almond Hat/ Mst Titan Gun
lvl 100 -> Dream Hat 100 ( Another good hat for its level )/Mst Military Gun

The hats I mentioned are compoundable with AC for better damage. Note that you don't need to acquire all of them. Just get what's readily available to you.

so what you are saying is I shouldn't worry about myshop right now and that anything worth getting will be dated or more expensive? Good to know thanks.
one thing, would it be safe to buy cosmetic stuff? like a shirt or something?

dont buy any clothes or anything. only focus on your eq's and stats. and plus dont buy Myshop at a early level. you must save it when your a higher lvl like 70 or 90, depends if you have enough points to afford Gun Sets.

basic detect is an optional skill for lions, though i wouldn't recommend getting it unless you want to have better chances finding the items you need for the drill quests

Nah, unless you plan to drill your way to level, the point and kill method is a better way of life.

Focus on essential gun skills first, such as gun booster, quick reload and powershot. :flame:

cool, cool. I have yet another question. are there level caps for quest that give extra bonus points? i just did a party quest in paradis that gave me 4 extra point, but i'm almost level 30. I just don't want to miss out on any extra points i can put towards AC.

edit: better yet, can someone point me towards a site with all the quests that give bonus points?
edit2: or can someone tell me what quests have level caps

hi... btw, I'm a 1144 72/56 lion... just wondering, do i need sixth sense??? invincible drill????...

just asking so i can master power shot already
and, where are the best areas to boost my TM???

Invincible drill is optional. A lot of people say not to get it, but frankly I find it quite useful, especially when you find something and don't want to give it up o_o

If you're going pure, avoid 6th sense. If you're going for hybrid and want landmine damage, get it. Landmine depends on LK and DA, so you want to have every single sense buff you can possibly have (except for the 3rd job fox buff of course)...with the exception of keen sense rofl. And if you are a pure AC lion going for cyber hunter, you're going to want all the lk/da you can get without ruining your point distribution, so you best get lucky 7, aura of lk, and 6th sense.

actually get a bamboo gun, which is better than a mast military gun

even if you get max stats it only beats bamboo gun by 5 measly ap

bamboo gun is 320 ap 14 ac 7 luk and 3 compound slots.

compare that with a mst mili gun, it doesn't have much

max mili gun with comps

325 ap
22(min) ac with comped ac
12 luk(min) if comped with luk

bamboo gun
320 ap
26(min) ac
7 luk
19 luk(min) if comped with luk

its not much difference. so you don't REALLY gotta get the gun.

I would like to reply to a comment or two made about basic detect-- I went against the guide I was following and got it-- I haven't regretted it once. Drilling is just too dang useful to pass up for power leveling. First off all of those event quests that require drilling-- then think about all of the story quests that are 90% drilling >_>. I think my character is sitting on about 30 levels worth of drilling quest experience, and unless you've used basic detect to get there you don't understand how easy that is.

Well, basic detect is useful early on, but later when you want to drill in the higher-depth areas, it becomes a waste. At least for cyber hunters, because cyber hunters have the option of getting item detector, which can go much deeper than basic detect (don't remember how much though)

Scientists can only use basic detect as a item detecting skill since it's the only one available to them =x
