Scientist or Cyber?

NOTHING IS WORTH IT FOR PURE. IF YOU WANNA REGRET EVEN MAKING YOUR LION GO PURE.

Berserk sucks massive amounts of dog crap and misses 24/7 REGARDLESS OF YOUR LK! Optics oh wow, can you see the mines? No. SO IT'S WORTH GARBAGE.

On the HYBRID side we get Aura of Luck, Sticky Icky, Gas Mask and Electroshock Guard or whatever the heck it's called. ALL of which are more usefull.

The future for Scientists is vague. The fact that they are so much worst than cyber hunters right now prompts me to believe that they will soon get a really good skill. But like everyone said, we dont know when.

I heard from another lion in-game that Scientists will get a skill that will allow a lion to use normal shots from a very large range... lol, good if you have sprint or something, and a high resolution.

And please, don't think EVERY SCIENTIST regrets their decision. I actually like berserk for training purposes.

@Demon, Lightning Rod is the electroshock resist + skill. Its not a guard, like Gas Mask, is just raises your resistance. Lv1 is +20% electroshock resist, just as Gas Mask lv1 is +20% Skunk Pouch resist.

Impractical? It's an AoE that's more powerful than powershot. And IMO, it doesn't miss that much.

PS/DS/Spree alone is more than enough for training ._. I never saw a need for another 'ZOMG PWNZ!!111!' skill .-. But whatever. Thats my own damn opinion.

Although I've seen some interesting discussion on the Chinese Version of TO. Like Korean TO, their "2nd Job" refers to our "3rd Job".

Rumored skills on CTO forums:

-Making explosives/ Power up explosives
-Some sort of a machine gun skill (translated as "bullet barrage"? Don't know if it's AoE)
-And as aforementioned, a skill that increases range of attacks when casted (not sure if applies to skills).

All of these skills are rumored to be implemented to the "pure 2nd job lions" (for them).

Also from several screen shots I've seen, it seems CTO's Scientists have the blue uniform. If I find that SS again I'll post it, since it shows a blue 3rd job lion with berserk in his skill slots (no fox skills). It makes sense I suppose, that Lions First job (default blue) ---> Lions Second Job (default blue)---> Lions Third Job (default blue?)

Yeah I had thought that the blue look was for a Pure Lion, but to my surprise was not. Kind of does not make sense in that sense. Heh.

But hmm... I may wait on changing my Lion's job. No need to hurry to change anyways.

I wonder though, since it is their fault for giving off skills so late, think they would give use the option to undo our 3rd job and change to the other? Even if it means getting a Harkon again. Something of that sort. Maybe paying 10mil galders to go back, and you can only undo your 3rd Job once and that is it. You lose all skills from the 3rd Job you had. Maybe for that sort of thing to only last 6 months after new 3rd job skills or something then it is like, too bad.

Oh well... that is just hopeful wishing.

Lol, seriously all you're missing out on as an inventor is some fox skills, a guardian seal thingee, and a bigger AoE. So no biggie.

But if kTO and jTO does not even have 3rd job skills after all this time, what makes you think eTO will anytime soon? eTO is way behind them. kTO is at top, and jTO is close behind. jTO seems to get things that are eTO only, like MyShop, and get them shortly, like 2 weeks. eTO, takes months just to put something in that jTO has already had for months.

So you know, that is why I say, that I hope they allow us to undo our 3rd Job in that case. Seriously that should be allowed even if just for 1 month. Because to wait so long totally blows.

In another sense, one could just wait, get to Lv.200 and still be only a 2nd Job, which I may end up doing anyways, no hurry to become a Cyber Hunter really.

I see what you mean, but I want them to award the patient/brave/stupid bunch. It is very clear that Scientists suck right now. Many went for Cyber, which is a much better choice nao. However I believe in balance, where those who suffer at the beginning will get rewarded in the end.

At least other classes, like Gambler and Dark Lord, are no brainers and easy to decide to go pure. It looks like Lion is pretty much the only one in the hole?

@Costume discussion, eTO is not the only Trickster that has blue hybrids.. A lot of people in the beginning assumed Ntreev "screwed up" but in fact this is not true. I know for one that jTO also has blue hybrids/orange pures, so Ntreev did not "screw up." It was quite intentional. The mistake came mostly because since blue is always displayed in the official art, it was believed to be the pure lion.

I had such high hopes for being a Scientist but now I'm second guessing myself after reading that...
Just so I don't start a new thread, I'm 132/109(lvls) and 1144. Now, I still want to be a Scientist but let me ask this, isn't Detonator a monster rely on skill? Like they have to walk over it? If so, then forget that D:. I like instant results.

Or maybe because kTOR and CTOR has blue scientists? kTOR is the original version of the game since Trickster is Korean. It would be sensible that most official Trickster Artwork is either made by/or based on the Korean Version of Trickster.

for the skill Detonator it is like a few units away and the mine flys to the monster or char (in pvp/gvg) yeah i saw it a few times like that in gvg's when in view mode. The hybrid lions throw one and a bull goes like a few steps near it and it come out of it's hiding and flys to the bull.

I wanted to go Hybrid but my build cant use hybrid (3142 ollddddd beta version build) that well so iono
