Are DA foxes losing their touch?

The slow disappearance of (excellent) DA gear (which will be given in myshop soon, I'm sure! ... I hope), lack of effectiveness of DA as opposed to elemental weapons, guns, and whatnot, and the fact that LK > DA when it comes to tanking mages is giving me second thoughts about my fox. I absolutely love her build, as it's heavy on DA; she doesn't have accuracy problems or anything. I just feel as if DA foxes are slowly becoming less popular and forgotten. :x

Someone assure me that DA foxes are some of the better foxes around!

DA foxes definitely are slowly fading... It's proven that a LK fox can still function extremely well and now with 3rd job and new skills, hybrid gun foxes.

The last pure DA fox i saw was my fellow guildie :/

Welp, I already went pure because I didn't want any godforsaken gun skills, no offense gunners. The only things I can do is go LK or be gimmicky and do that AP/DX thing. I don't quite think I wanna be LK, so yeah, it's DA or that, and I have this... level 8 Master Bastard, comped with soil, sitting in my bank, and she's 142, so...

Here's my reassurance:

Catharsis, pure DA fox, is on her way to becoming a pure LK gunner fox. Heck, maybe even pure AC 1144. I'm not even gonna bother keeping Shuriken Master or Landmine, and use those points for Sticky Icky.

DA fox = epic win.
It dosent take that much as a sense type to outluck magic types unless theyre pure luck or something which still isnt that huge of a deal.
The damage output you get with the sharp piece comped throwing weapons is VERY good in combination with landmine + EE and since you said you have great accuracy your pretty much great. keep foxes alive please

LK would be more flexible, I guess. I can keep separate DA & AC sets, and just switch equips when I want to return to the life of a redundant-as-hell SS+SM fox.

For some reasons, this thread reminds me how much of a failure my fox is. Pure DA (for now), and third job pure. ;;

I think you should wait for future skills to be out... like that AR-Shuriken like. Maybe it will deal good damage, and have good accuracy. Foxes should also be able to make their own throwing weapons. Hopefully, the items will not be a pain in the ass to get. And maybe Precise Pitch will become an interesting skill boost to have. D: And then maybe, Shuriken Master will be better.

^ Maybe Ntreev will release epic skills for pure foxes in the future, but it's impractical to make decisions now based on speculation considering Ntreev has a history of nerfing fox skills.

My Fox is Pure DA with LK equips. She's lvl 153 and kinda over kill the Iciclers while their AR do 0-300 dmg per rush 8D
PvP is another story tho :/

Yes, that's why I typed "maybe" almost every sentence. 8D

The new skills will be for 2nd job, so lions and hybrid foxes will be able to get them. if they ever see the utility of those skills. I don't remember if they are all out on kTO or jTO now, I only remember seeing the thread somewhere in one of the guild's threads. A few of them have been out for now, although I cannot say they are really useful for my fox anyway -- party resistance to Electroshock (?) and Skunk Pouch, wee. ;;

It's always gonna come down to what you wanna do with your fox.

I've tried both pure LK and pure DA out before and I have to say pure DA is better

If you go pure LK ALL of your equipment have to be LK (which means you need to use a wand) in order to be efficient, otherwise the additional LK won't really make very much of a difference.

I like the damage from pure DA myself and the block and stuff from LK is satisfactory too. :bone:

I'd turn my fox into a gunner, and with the points from the event I could do that stat-wise, but... 3rd pure :'(

Well I'd say go hybrid..Gun + landmine + lucky fist is nice.
Pure DA is for the Explosive Expert.
Spamming mines or spamming bullets :/

It's the skill accuracy with the average DA fox that bothers me.
Sometimes I wish fox skill accuracy was reliant on LK, like lions. Seriously.

IF we have LK as accuracy, we will be able to kill charms like the cycle suppose to go, foxes get unshafted and problem solved :O
But then again, this game is not balanced and still have mistakes :/
