| A way to keep your TM level close like that is kind of easy. This is how I see it, and I might make a guide about it.
At the start of the game, just go get yourself a Basic Drill and drill in desert beach so you can gather up your quest items and your tm exp grows more from drilling. Well killing a monster makes it grow more, but drilling makes tm exp grow more than your normal exp.
I think you can perhaps get your TM level about 5 above your level this way, more if you are really dedicated. Then just do the story quests. You can do the key quests if you want, enough to just get 5 desert stickers, not 7 like you are able to get if you do all desert quests. Only do 5 to have enough for the Sandman quest. Finish that up, or while doing that, do a Hunter Yuri quest once, then do the Assistant Hunter quest 5 times for TM exp.
Then just drill and hunt for your quest items, to buy them will make you not gain any of that TM exp. Then you should just do as many monster TM quests as you can as well as card quests. Avoid doing the Poppuri dungeon quest as it is not a key quest. Key quests you tend to get massive TM exp at the end, after collecting the needed amount of stickers.
My guess is, if you keep up with hunting and drilling your own items, when you job change, your TM level may pass your base level even if just for awhile. Avoid doing any other normal exp quests, and the gap can probably stay at a 10 level difference if you keep up with TM quests and card quests. And that gap will close in at about a 3-5 level difference when you become 3rd job. |
