Scientist or Cyber

I personally think scientist would be good cause got gun skill to learn unlike cyber hunter. but alot of ppl says that cyber hunter is good... can someone enlighten me? and if i become a cyberhunter, will i still b usin AC stats gun?

Scientists has Berserk which is a powerful version of Shooting Spree, but the success rate may frustrate you. There will be lots of times when you're surrounded by monsters and Berserk will fail on you, leaving you to take a lot of damage. Optical doesn't help in training at all.

As for Cyber Hunter, even though there's no extra Gun Skill, there are more uses in it's skill layout. Lucky Fist/Fortune Strike will allow you to attack monsters using the amount of Luck you have. If the monster is resistant or anti-Gun, then at least you have a strong-enough skill to kill them.

Item Detector also helps if you're the drilling type. If you were to drill in deeper lands, Item Detector will save you time.

And yes, even if you're a Cyber Hunter, you would still be using your Gun.

Let's not forget Aura of Luck, which gives you an extra luck boost and thus an advantage over pure lions and mages in PvP.

ehm u can focus on AC and LK no DA needed since u wont be using DA skills

The both of you failed to say that cyber hunters can rape charms with sticky foot, sticky icky, shield breaker, and gas mask.

You also forgot that Cyber Hunters get land mine to kill gun-protection monsters (LK skills are useless)

Right now Cyber Hunters beat Scientists all the way. Some say Scientists will get better skills later. I seriously doubt that will happen any time soon, if at all.

hm i dono if they can rape charms... since some charms kill the cyber before it has cast its skill to debuff them .. and coons has alot of "stun" skills

Gask mask ftw >_> Thats why some Lions carry HV gear to make Coons miss. Cats can just be taken down with hax AC hopefully.

well cybers got aura of LK .. AND landmines..
so scientist will .. ehm miss if they don have enuff LK
or just walk into a mine and kaboom
cyber VS scientist.. i would bet my money on Cyber

I agree with him, actually cyber>scientist. I really doubt anytime soon, they will be overpowered. Considering Jto skill's they don't have any better yet unless they release 4th job. But before they do here in ETO, it might takes few more years so yeah, during that time, scientist will suffer.

Landmine : dont need DA to do high dmg, lk is enough.
Sticky Icky : The best debuff that a lion could get, maintly in gvg.
Aura of luck : helps to hit others lion + scientist, mages and to do more crits.
Gas mask : Very useful against charm. Considering the 4x% of protection.....
lightning rod : Same,prevents by 4x% but already if you have high lk, you can dodge it...

You're not making much sense here...lucky fist/fortune strike/pistol whip is already a 2nd job lion skill :P

But in any case I'd still say as of right now cyber hunter seems way better than a scientist...

Yea as of right nao, cybers are much much much better in almost every aspect.

What I'm hoping for is another light mage scenario, but for new underdogs scientists. Any of you saw that coming? :shock:

I've allready explained this...

You chose your type and levelled it all the way to 3rd job because you like it, that much, correct?

So.. I see no point after all your hard work in that type, to turn into a weaker, hybrid class, that learns skills from the other class's 2nd job, when you didn't choose the other type, you chose YOUR type,

Now some people might be thinking now, Oh oh oh! But variety is good, varied skills are better,

That may be true for the bored player, but they will be like just getting more 2nd job skills, which will be even weaker than the 2nd job skills you got in the first place, Whereas the pure 3rd job, will get much much much mcuh stronger skills than that, even stronger than any 2nd job crap thrown at it,

Why go and learn all your uber gun stuff, then go hybrid and move on to needle and drilling skills,

If you wanted them, you should've made the other type,

Some people might now reply and say, but why not take the best of both option..? Because if you take best of both, you are now stuck with your 2nd job lion skills for life, and you have to move on to the fox skills, but you won't be able to learn the best 2nd job fox skills because the Tm lvl req is too high, AND they havn't all come out yet, AND because you ARE NOT actually both types, just hybrid, the skill you learn will be the same, but, they will be slightly weaker, because to have 2 types in one character is to be overpowered,

IF a 4th job ever comes out, where is the hybrids room for movement? They can only become a pure class, but they will be one job behind the purists because they chose the extra path of learning some not needed weaker skills instead

Whereas the pure guys, will get a 4th pure class, or the choice of turning hybrid again, in which case I can repeat this argument,

A hybrid 3rd job will not get the choice of going even more hybrid, because that would involve completely becoming the other class, which is pointless and not use ful at all, and is waaaay o confusing..

Why would you level your lion to 3rd job to go hybrid then in the possible 4th job which may not happen, go hybrid again!?! Noone would because you would then be better off with the other type,

The purists, when things are balanced or in 4th job, will massively overtake the hybrids in power, but then again, the hybrids may not care, more skills might mean more to them, *Shrugs*

In short; Pure for power and if you like your type, Variety for boredom.

The only reason people say hybrids are better is because they currently have more skills, but it'll get balanced, so don't worry..

And then..Later..

There will have to be a 4th class, for the people who managed to make it onto the hi-score board thing, for the people who contuously leave and come back to the game, for the people who are obsessed/ addicted,

No 4th class will kill the game and motivation for the fight to be the best, because sooner or later, every 2nd job guy will get 3rd job, and what happens when everyones 3rd job, and no new people are joining from lack of uber new job skills. Some of the 3rd job guys would start leaving too, becauese they aren't getting new jobs,

I know some people quit when 3rd job took so long. Ntreev know this too.

So 4th class is a big factor in what to do, 'Cause it will happen someday.
