gunner lion and basic detection

i am level 80 with tm lvl 59. i am currently dreading the thought of drilling for quest items. i would like to know if i should get basic detection since i have 14 tm points left over. so far i have use my tm points on the following:
gun carrier
invincible reload
gunbooster mastered
quick reload
powershot mastered

Yes get it helps heaps trust me =] but only to level 3 beyond that its pretty much useless. Beyond its pretty good for bloody rune of fate but then after I don't see much use in it.

depends just get lucky seven you'll dread using points on basic detection later on.

anyways basic detection is good for the short run
while lucky 7 will save me points for the long run
BUT, wont there be extra points left over anyways?

hmm i don't know just use gun skills trust me untill you get to 3rd job Keen sense and Double shot will eat up around 30 or so if u master both and you need to get shooting spree, much faster training

ima use 5 skill points on basic detection like monkie said, then use the skill reset point (from an event) if i ever come up short on tm

Keen isnt worth the TM. For the time it takes to set up PowerShot is faster and does the same damage.

As for TM you will only use about 75 TM if you master all the core gun skills. You will still have enough points for mastering Luck 7 and then some before 3rd Job.

do NOT get basic detection if u call yourself a "gunner" lion, if u wana be a gunner, master all guns related skills, try and get your tm level up a bit to 70 and master shooting spree, then move onto mastering lucky 7.
MASTER ALL GUN RELATED SKILLs if u consider yourself a gunner ^^

ye dude i agree w/ count. dun waste ur point on BD. i wasted mine knowing that i have to drill to get the Chaos Shards >.> and it turns out that its better to drill without it -_-

Sssshhhh. Please.

I love how much people underrate Basic Detection. I have the skill and I abuse it. Most of the time, when you go drilling, it's in an area that is ~110 Depth (max of BD), and I find everything I need fast, and MUCH faster than if I just randomly poke around in the ground because I have 90 DA.

Sure get it after you get all your gun skills, but saying its Useless is bad.

Only time I've been in places where I can't use it are:
Swamp Mines
Snow Mines
Spicy Lair
Tenter Lion Lair
Queen Lair

Thing is, I never drill in any of them except for Snow Mines, and that was for Harkon.

Dude, I love Basic Detect. One of the better reasons to be a sense type. And yes, I have plenty of DA and know how to drill in perfect, evenly spaced patterns that can clear an entire map, but nothing beats just abusing BD when you're looking for something quick.

I have a 15X gunner Lion and I have basic detection. It helps me out loads in events and quests. I got me my 3 bloddy fate runes for all my characters to finish Ep2. As for "Gun Related Skills there arent that many you need to get:
Gun Carrier
Invincible Reload
Gun Booster LvM
Quick Reload
Power Shot LvM
Shooting Spree LvM
Double Shot LvM

All of those skills only use up 75TM and the rest is just left over. Most people get Lucky 7 from here but even after that you will still have plenty of TM leftover. The next Gun Skill isnt until 3rd job at 130TM

people, he is level 80 -.- with tm level 59... it's a different case here... -.- he should save up points for gun skills at such level, not getting BD is preferred...

lol... relax, i never said it's useless, what i'm saying is just that he should be concentrating on getting gun skills for now and not BD... ^.^
