| Gunner Fox Question Since all my character slots in Fantasia are full, I decided to make a gunner fox in Jewelia. From what I've read, I heard that it was really hard; especially when it's my first character in Jewelia (so I have no other support from other characters). However, I still want to create a gunner fox because they look hawt. ^^
1) My build right now is 3142; I've made up my mind to change my build graph when I reach 3rd job because I'm more of a pvp-type. However, what build should I change it to? I was thinking of 1144; however won't I lose a lot of AC/Gun dmg?
2) I'm currently Pure AC. However, should I start adding LK so I can be a hybrid AC/LK (since LK would be good in Pvp).
3) Through 1st job -> 3rd job, should I use a gun or a dagger? Stone Strike pisses me off with it's bad accuracy; however I can be a melee fox to make up for it.
4) What should I comp on my equips? I know this depends on the build; but I want something good for a gunner fox (at least to help me survive pass the 3rd job trails xD)
Thanks. I tried reading some other threads but I couldn't exactly find my answer. Some threads only made me confused. x_x *has absolutely no experience with sense class or even gunners*

Current Mood: | 1. I would personally go 2143 because of the AC, though it won't matter as much since you're pure right now.
2. Not sure bout that one. I'm more of a PvM than PvP
3. Well, it depends, but im not going to detail bout that one
4. ...I sorta just started myself so i can't answer that.

| At level 200, a 1 in the power stat will give you around 61AC base. If you think you can get enough equips to compensate for that without stunting your fast grinding (Tech 4 mobs usually needs something around 330+ AC to OHKO with SS), then go for it, as it a 1144 build means greater survivability in PvP (even more if you pile on LK). |

| Personally, I'd rather concentrate on one stat for bonus point distribution, and then modify my equips on a needs-basis. Most gunners I know keep two sets of equips, one for hax AC and another for hax LK. 8D |

| Dagger, IMO. Being a gunner is much more annoying without PS/DS/SS. |

| Like I said, keep two sets: all-AC & all-LK. Also keep around some well-comped HP equips for those instances where you have to pull hara-kiri stunts and mix & match with your equip sets. | | (Offline)

Current Mood: | Start out as a gunner and for 3rd trails, use a hax attraction % wepon. Without any gun skills, you'll probably die very fast if your using a gun.

| Thanks, everyone. If I do stick with guns at the beginning, does that mean I don't need to max Stone Strike?
I've decided to go for Pure AC with comped LK set. As for the build, I still have to decide.

Current Mood: | I suggest since you said after third job you're changing your build, just do a 1144 LK or DA Fox, and then after you advance, use the Point-Back All to convert to AC, or LK, whichever you decide. | | (Offline)

whenever you're going to be a hybrid, your sacrificing something.
in this case its AC for LK, or vice versa I prefer LK to AC because I can always debuff. if you're dead set on 1144 2 AC/2 LK is a good compromise

dagger, since all of you damage skills until 3rd don't include a gun

LK for mages and other sense chars, and AC for buffs (i'm not even going to mention bunnies :/)
I'd also like to add. get a LK shield and cane for when you go melee ( icky + pistol whip ftw?)
and an HV set to dodge people

I've decided to go hybrid; 3 points in AC and 1 point in LK. Not sure if I get the best results but it looks like fun. XD
As for skills.. I will have to continue looking at Kiwi's Pew Pew Guide; and for skill graph, I might change to 2143. xD

Go full melee instead of using stone strike. You can use a soil golden sword until you get to tap 1, then you might need a water or wind weapon to do good damage, but soil sword will still work.
And SF3 is a breeze with a soil sword cause the yeti are soil weak :)
I used a golden sword and dark gshield until tm 165,
then i took spree, double shot, power shot and haven't used a sword since :)
My fox went pure luck until about level 112, then i put all points in AC from then on. My build is 4141 and i dont regret the build. Shes doing really well, though bossing is a little hard with only 8k hp, lol.
LOL@people suggesting build graph resets...am i the only one who don't throw 20$ dollar bills at ntreev? o_O
