The Rules Of Sovereign


1. Be courteous to your guildmates. This includes no nagging people for items, no antagonizing anybody for ignoring you, and a mutual understanding between a person donating an item and a person accepting said item. Do not doubt the sincerity of your guildmates. Nobody (I hope) in this guild will offend you on purpose. If someone has, please talk it over politely and settle your differences like mature adults. There are many more things that involve courtesy, but if you don't have the common sense to know what's courteous and what's not, then...
(As a footnote, be courteous to everybody, not just your guildmates. If we hear that you are a jerk to anybody else, then it'll reflect poorly upon yourself to both people inside the guild and out.)

2. Have a comprehension of the English language Know basic grammar and type correctly. This isn't exactly a strict rule, but if you type to the extent in which a person can't understand what you're saying when you're typing English, then we have a problem. Of course, along with this rule is that you must exercise this comprehension. In other words, be talkative! Being talkative makes the guild chat lively and fun. Of course, being talkative also means being able to express yourself accurately. We HAVE had drama arise due to miscommunication in the past, which causes a lack of understanding from the listener.

3. Speaking of guild chat, using the chat to buy / sell items is prohibited. You may ask if anyone's buying / selling something, but if you find a seller amongst the guild, then please commence the transaction through whispers or memos. Along with this, repeatedly asking the same people for the same item is very annoying, so prevention of this is greatly appreciated. This rule is especially emphasized when the guild chat is flowing, thus making it easier to miss out on messages on both ends.

4. Naturally, hacking of any type is strictly PROHIBITED. This results in an immediate kick from the guild. Hacking may mean using a hacking device to "cheat" the game. Hacking may also mean hacking into someone else's account and misusing it. No more needs to be said in this matter.

5. You must be ACTIVE! If your character's inactive after 2 weeks without telling a leader or subleader you will be gone (and even then, it must be for a good reason), then you will be kicked. This does not mean you may log in for a few minutes just to say hi, then leave. You must be an active, participating member of Sovereign!

6. Guild hopping is not allowed. We would appreciate it very much if you would stay in the guild. Sovereign does its best to promote a feeling of familiarity, and being a guild hopper prevents that on both sides. Although not a rule, it's also advised that you stick with one character, despite the fact that a mule is also allowed in the guild if there's space. If you must have a mule, however, you must apply for the Main : Mule thread or else it will not be accepted.
