Phuc's Uppersmash-Shockwave combo vid

When you use uppersmash, you can combine it with shockwave so that they both do damage at the same time. So if both uppersmash and shockwave are mastered, the uppersmash-shockwave combo does 620%

however, thats less than uppersmash-shockwave(620%). they both have the same cast/cool time so combo-ing uppersmash with burning rave is less effective than combo-ing it with shockwave. it does cost less mp though.

Thanks for the vid! I feel like such a noob .. I had Uppersmash at TM LV10 (prerequisite for Uppercut) and have never used "combos" before (and I'm level 7x!).

I will definately be using this in my future training!

you say it like EVERYONE knows it and you dont...
actually, i'm probably the first/only buffalo on etrix to do uppersmash combos
everyone else neglects it/says its useless, etc.
cuz no one knew about uppersmash combos except me
so yea, dont feel bad about not knowing about it until u found out from me...

Hey, I guess that makes me the first bunny on eTO to do uppersmash combos (probably not)! Since I only have two attack skills (BR + Uppersmash) I was wondering if it's possible to string three attack skills in a combo? That would really put arrow rush to shame.

well, ur a bunny
so once u get ur 2nd job skills, u can combo uppersmash with any one of them
to do some uber damage
and for me, once i get blade force,
i'll be doing 820% with uppersmash-blade force combo

sorry if i sound dumb... but what the hell is the use for this?

the monster is still hitting you even though there's no animation for it hitting you...

look you're getting hurt o_O

I've been doing that for a while.. when the monster's a bit away you can follow up with a quick skill pretty easily, but that's a no-brainer. This isn't combo per se, doing the two skills consecutively has no impact on damage/hit at all. Like crazypalu said, you also get hit between executing the two skills, so that makes calling it a combo pretty moot.

Btw, what is that godawful song called? It's the second time I hear it in a video, and damn does it make my ears bleed.

yeah i'm confused what makes it a combo -_- for my sheep i do MR followed immediately by a MA and it usually kills the monster. does that count as a combo...

well i guess that in general definition, that fits under a combo but like the uppersmash+ BR combo like moomoo said, isnt really a combo just chaining 2 atks together

The song is HOT.

I think it's a combo because you're executing the second attack immediately after the initial one. Don't take my word for it, WhatThePhuc probably has the answer.

the song is "Fergalicious" by Fergie. Pretty good song to dance to.

also, i might make a video showing the difference between uppersmash combo and uppersmash followed by another skill

you said that it isnt a combo, yet you gave the definition of combo in your own post...

and where in the hell did u get the idea that combo has to do with additional damage or getting damaged in the process? and if u pay close attention, you DONT get hit while the monster is up in the air.

think about it. in fighting games, combos are done by chaining moves consecutively. in DDR and Stepmania, combo is how many arrows u get consecutively.

and yes, it is a combo. not only does the second skill follow IMMEDIATELY after uppersmash, but the damage from uppersmash AND shockwave(BOTH SKILLS) is done AT THE SAME TIME.(or at least, very near the same time)
