Looks seem to be so overrated these days; take a look at Maplestory, where most of the cash shop is fashion, yet so many people get it.
I never really understood its importance...especially on an online game...

because for ltos of people the aspect of community is what males hte online game apealing. In community people like to display achievements, and be distinguished. This is where goot looking loot can come in.

well.. different ppl have different priorities in the game... some enjoy griding and becoming high level... some enjoy making lots of $$$... some wants to do the most haxxed dmg or have the most haxxed stats... some wan to rule in pvp.... some likes to be unique and show off his/her looks...

i supposed looks is not important to you... hence you never really understood its importance... just like for myself... being high level is not important... so i never really understand the need to grind hours after hours everyday and miss out other stuff in life just to be in the top few...

i guess seeing so many ppl going for fused or fashion items only shows that looks IS important to many ppl....

If you played in Closed Beta, you'll see plenty of similar characters. If you threw that in with the same hair color, you'll be looking at the same image again and again. To me, that's very monotonous and monotony usually lowers people's interests.
