So... on which one do you think I can go all the way?

This is a gacha choice thread. All coins mentioned below were built up from tons of gacha rewards and tons of lack of gacha interest (meh, should've exploited the Refer-A-Friend Event >.<). Not a single coin came from this Poppuri Bonanza (yay me!) I'm at a loss as to what I should do next:

Crita's account:
Special Town, 40 coins used, got all pets but Bunny Maid.

True's account:
Town 5, 59 coins used, got all items but the gun.

I was hoping that I'd get my very first 4g5 from one of these towns (4g anything), but alas, it didn't work out. Out of the 12-14 accounts (12 are mine, the other 2 depending on the answer of one of my friends) I had that benefited from Poppuri Event, I have used 5, and only 5 for the Love Boxes. Between those 5, I probably have loose change that totals 20k. So, with my loose change and anywhere from 7-9 remaining accounts, my question to you is thus:

Should I attack the Special Town, Town 5, or just save my moneys for later (the Inferno Cape would benefit Mon, but only for fire, and he's not hitting 220 anytime soon--not until I feel like training him again; meanwhile, the only other Cape I'd get is the Nocturnal for True's account, and none of my characters there is ready for 180)?

I just had to make a similiar decision.
I spent 3 coins and got the wedding glasses.
With the remaining 20 coins I thought I could get the final pet.
I failed. You should go for 4g5

I'm tempted to go for 4g5, but I've no intentions of randomly pouring coins into one town or another without a reason. Special Town or Town 5, and why? I don't even care if it's a superstitious reason.

My preference would be special town 5 (tapasco)... Just in general, even if you don't get the gun, the other equips you can get can be useful for any other classes you get to 190. On the other hand, getting a bunch of extra pets, most of whom aren't higher than 80, is fairly redundant given that we just got about 8 from the poppuri event.

I also think you have fairly good chances - in my experience, the gun pops up frequently enough, and it's not like the only item left in tapasco is, say, befana.

It has been proven that one's ISP and account determine the odds of what pops up. While the gun pops up frequently for you, the gun for me has been the equivalent of the Tree Mask, the Candy Cane Sword, and the sword from when Yupika was at Town 5; my last ones have always refused to pop up. Of course, now that Flicker is out, the odds are greatly increased, especially for special towns. In regular towns, you have to double your coin output to weed out roughly 30% of the unwanted stuff. In special towns, you increase your coin output by 50% to weed out half of the undesirables.

Note, that in my previous Town 5 experiences, I've shelled out more than 200$ on the final items between them and still failed. And it was always after such bitter returns that I lost massive interest in Gacha. Let's not forget StudyPunkRockism's 540$ that he spent just to get Lycan when the wolf boy was Town 2's mascot.

Town 5 has better stuff even if I come up short. The Special Town, however, is here for only a week, which gives me the impression that the odds might be higher. Remember, 8 items in 40 coins versus 8 in 59. Might simply be coincidental, might not.

But I'm still on the fence about whether I should push further at all, let alone choose a town.

While your point certainly has merit (using IP as random number generator is ingenious, and cruel, in a twisted way), you've introduced new information that I didn't know beforehand.

On the other hand, I've also noticed that your only 190+ character is a coon... maybe you should save resources for another, more HV-friendly, gacha town?

Still, if you've got 8...
As impulsive as it seems (and probably is), I'd probably still go for it.

Lol, it's true that Mon is my only 190+ character. However, Temari just recently broke out of her sleep and is preparing to train once more. Ignoring my characters' levels, I have kept in reserve various items for when my main account--True, Laf and Tema--hit higher levels. 10 Odinea Boxes, 5 Lucky Magics, 5 Lucky Charms, and roughly 2 Poppuri-blessed accounts in Love Boxes await my main account for when someone reaches those levels. I know they'll reach 200+, which is why I've prepared goodie baskets for them, but I can't say the same for Crita's account.

As for just going for it, I think I'll wait a few more days. I need more feedback on whether or not this 1-week town has better odds than Town 5.
