Project: Megalo Life R

We all grow to know and get hopelessly addicted the Trickster Online Webcomic known as Megalo Life. And hopefully we all got extremely sadden to see Megalo Life bid its farewell. As the Fridays roll by, something is lacking on the (web)pages of Trickster Online. O/X Quizzes feel less complete when missing those tricky Megalo Life questions that have become so traditional over the months.

But what if...

There's a way for Megalo Life to return?

Is such a thing possible?

One thing is for sure, the mastermind of Megalo Life Aleister D.D. Gilgrim can not accomplish this alone. At a trying time such as this, we the Trickster Online Revolution community must band together and show nTreev just how happy Megalo Life made us feel... and how much happier we will feel when Megalo Life returns to the (web)pages of Trickster Online Revolution!

How can us, the community, possibly contribute to the revival of Megalo Life?

It's both a simple... yet not so simple mission, but it can be done. Everyone must believe that Megalo Life can and will return. But it won't return with us sitting on our butts in front of our computer monitors waiting for something to happen. We all have to make something happen. We have to not only tell nTreev we want our beloved webcomic back, but we have to show nTreev that we want our beloved webcomic back. To do this, we shall collaborate and make some sort of tribute to Megalo Life. The sort of tribute that not only shows how much we love the webcomic, but how much we miss it.

The tribute can be anything you can possibly think of. Be it a comic, poetry, screenshots, or a Play-Doh sculpture of Detective Inspector Valencia. Just as long as it expresses the message that Megalo Life is an important aspect of Trickster Online, and seeing it returning will invoke uncontainable happiness to all readers, the new and old.

I will start the Project: Megalo Life R thread on the official forums. This thread here is just to send the message and give you creative types a head start on things. When the thread on the official forums is ready, I'll let you all know so you all can visit the official forums and contribute your tribute there. I will also let the regulars of the eTO forums contribute to this. No one is excluded in this effort to hopefully see the revival of Megalo Life~!

Tribute Ideas

Please, nothing that could be considered as something more than PG rating
- Comic (no page maximum, B&W or color)
- Fanart
- Poetry
- Still Life (sculpture, origami, painting, Nyxx Shrine, etc)
- Screenshot (s) from Trickster Online (Item Decor, Head Notices, Guild Gatherings, etc)
- Short Story/Fan-Fic
- The normal and ordinary "I want Megalo Life to return because..." post (preferably no one-liners, but I'm not going to smite you because you typed in a non-punctuated sentence)
- Whatever you feel is appropriate as a tribute to Megalo Life and/or Gilgrim

I will try to get the Official Project: Megalo Life R thread going sometime in the end of May or early June, depending on how many people contribute to this. You may post your material in this thread as a practice towards posting in the official thread. Also you may ask questions and discuss and so forth.

I want Megalo Life to return to prove that nTreev cares about the players, even just the slightest bit, and are not 100% greedy money hungry people that release myshop every week but slack off on game content.

You don't have to know the specific reason behind the end, just have a reason (or lack of logical reason?) on why do you want Megalo Life to begin again.

For all we know, it could be a personal matter between them or something more serious, now if I were an employee would I employ again someone that I originally fired/kicked/whatever? Don't think so.

The opposite hold true, Gilgrim might or might not want to back to Ntreev again.

If it something that we can't meddle in then this thread would be pointless.

Assuming of course, you want Megalo Life with Gilgrim not another artist.

Well said, Leon, well said. I'm missing Gilgrim's comic too, it's the main reason why I even bother check the main page. Count me in for the project, as I'm hoping he'd be back some day.

Wouldn't it be more of a strain now for Gilgrim to go back into business with Ntreev?

The man has a baby to take care of, and I think that trying to make him go back to working full-time at the company would stress him out a lot.

It might not be his will to quit, but did you ever ask Gilgrim himself if he really wanted to come back or not?

If he says yes, then hell, I'll give you my full (somewhat) support for this project/petition.

But right now, I'm still a bit...unsure.

Think of it this way:

You can support this and contribute to the offical thread and the practise thread if you wish, and have a chance at getting the comic back up and going. Now the problem is:
Does Gilgrim want to do this?
The answer:
Who cares? ^^;

We show that we want it back, he then says No I don't want to do it again (No harm done, just a few minutes of work done in showing that you really are a fan )
or:
He says something along the lines of "Wow! Thanks for all your support guys! ^^!"

Now as for if Ntreev would like to employ him again or not, that issue is irrelevant. As many people have said before "The Customer is always right" Which pretty much means, if there is enough interest in the comics then logic dictates that Ntreev would be forced to hire Gilgrim back, or w/e.

You know that Gilgrim cannot post in, encourage or in any way show that he wants this to happen other wise it could perhaps violate contracts signed by both partys and/or reduce his chances of getting this 'job' back. So all in all your looking at it the wrong way:

Your showing your support for the comic, and showing that you want it back.
Now if it comes back is almost completely up to Ntreev USA and Gilgrim (Who knows if he wants it back or not, but I'm sure he will do so for his loyal fans.

Adding on to this - Would he really do it because he wanted to and now has the opportunity to, or for us because he think it would disappoint us?

Once again, like Senpai said, he has a freaking baby to take care of now. I really do want the webcomic back, but if it's going to conflict with his life so much, I'd rather have someone else be hired to do it. Because, this project is the bring Megalo Life back, not Gilgrim himself, right?
