Do you know if lions are useless for compounding because at level 51 i've never coumpounded over the minimum. Does that mean i'll always have to hire a fox ><. If not when do i become slightly competent at compounding?

Refining requires a certain ore for a certain level range that the item is required for, so it a piece of equipment requires level 40, it will have a different upgrade item than a piece of equipment that requires level 80.

Compounding on the other hand is different, instead of having an item for the level of the item, it instead imposes a level requirement (provided the item's is not higher than the said requirement).

Here's how to compound your items in as concise of a way as possible:

1. Refer to any of the following: a helpful friend who knows the items required, a trickster fan site with compound requirements item list, the bunny maid next to the compound npc, or Minty (in game...assuming you know my name).

2. The numbers of materials needed to compound into your equipment varies from 1 to 13, depending on what material that you are using. There are many many attributes that can be compounded to an item, including elemental defense, and the 12 character stats.

3. On the specific compounding item, you will see the following: The stat this item will raise, the minimum amount it will raise it by, and the maximum amount, for example, popo leaflets raise magic attack by a min of 1 and a max of 2.

4. A Compoundable equipment will have a stat: "Compound No.X" where X is the number of extra stats compoundable onto it.

5. Go to the compounding NPC and open up the compound window. The top most slot is for the item to be compounded, insert any equipment item with a "compound no." stat and a list of stats that can be compounded onto this item will appear in the window on the right.

6. If the stat you want to raise is there, place the compounding item (for example, 5 popo leaflets) into the left slot on the bottom, if the compounding item increases a stat that is NOT shown in the window, the game will yell at you and call you a poopoo head, and otherwise not let you place the item there.

7. If you place the right compounding item (as in it raises a stat shown in the window) the compounding item will appear in the slot at the bottom on the left, the other two slots are used for what I will currently call "bonus items" these items boosts the amount the stat will increase by by a certain percentage, 5 of these items exist, each with its own percentage bonus.

8. When you are satisfied with the item you are compounding onto and the stat you are going to compound onto it click ok and you will receive your item back with the stat compounded onto it. Your new item will have a new stat modifier with a bonus anywhere in between the min and max labeled on the compounding item.

9. Your new item may also receive a new level requirement, depending on the compounding item you used.

10. YOUR LUCK STAT INCREASES THE CHANCES OF A HIGHER BONUS.

11. COMPOUNDING ALWAYS SUCCEEDS (refining has a chance of failing)

12. You can remove a compounding attempt Using an item called "Natei's Gourd Bottle" don't ask me where to get it, I don't know. (Most probaly an Mystore item)

T____T turtle shells are lvl 30 and up

If an item is supposed to give "1-4" DA, does that mean that when you compound you will either get 1 OR 4? Or do you have chances of getting 2 or 3? I was never clear on this.

That's the range, so 1,2,3, or 4 is possible. The smaller the range the harder it is to get a higher stat.

Hi I was wondering since I got a pumpkin hat from the halloween event and me being a mage, which item do i use for lvl 30 compound of MA?

Now I'm a bit confused. I was under the impression that those extra items went there. Namely things like Hoof (I think). I remember it saying to add it to "compound level 50 and over for protection from Defense Failure" or something like that. Any explanation for that?

I'll go test it later if I have those items anytime soon.

Srry minty, but it is not five of each.
For example.
Thick belly skins only need two...
Snail shell only need two.
You can easily check the amount you need by getting one of each compound item, and pretending like your about to compound.
Place down the compound item in the correct slot, and two numbers will appear, one over the item, and one under.
I beleive the number ontop shows the amount need.

AND...
We dont have the item needed to remove compounds yet.
I wish we did. T-T

The other slots besids where your item goes? Pretty sure that's for MyShop items to boost stats of the item being compounded. Not sure how much or whatever.
